WE had a great time with Justin who told us a lot about the street art and introduced us to the varying foods avaiable in the Newtown area. It was really worthwhile even for locals like myself and my wife. Great mix of walking around and sitting down to relax and try the various foods. Highly recommended. Do it with Justin if you can.

We had a wonderful time with Robyn! It was the perfect amount of walking, seeing really cool murals, and tasting a wide range of food. She kept us entertained through the whole tour.

A great way to spend an afternoon. I live in Sydney, but Newtown is not a suburb I usually go to, so it was great to see it with a local guide who knew all the best street art and where to eat. She shared plenty of local stories with us too. I'd say the tour is more about the art than the food, but the combination worked really well.

Justin was very knowledgeable and a fun guide. The tastings were very generous and the street art was worth seeing. I highly recommend this tour. We met fun people from many countries. Small group but big enough to make it interesting. Thanks Justin!

Amazing food, art, and history! Our guide Robyn was incredible. We had her for a private tour and feel so lucky we got to chat with her more. She's super friendly and knowledgeable and also has great recommendations for food and bars and other things to do / see. Highly recommended!

Newtown is like the 1960s, very hip. Lot's of vintage clothing and vegan restaurants. It's a nice break from the high rises of Sydney. Food tour guide was great with 5 or 6 interesting stops for turkish ice cream, vegan mexican tacos, local chocolates, local brewery beer, etc. All very special. Easy 4 stop train ride from Sydney.

This was an excellent and fascinating tour of street art and murals in a small section of Sydney, with visits to restaurants/cafes/bars/ice cream shops along the way where we were treated to delicacies and drinks. Robyn Vernon, our tour guide has lived there for over 20 years and gave us the behind the scenes stories about the art, artists, and community. Our group was small but international with 3 Filipinos, 2 Australians, a German and another solo American like me, The tour was in English and some were more interested in the food and others in the art, or both. At the end, we all were delighted and had our eyes, and stomach opened to new things, like Turkish ice cream that tastes great and takes hours to melt. A few hours later, I received an email with a map of where we'd been, some photos of our group, and the names and Instagram handles of the artists whose work we'd seen. All in all, an extremely great follow-up to an excellent tour. Plus, the Local Sauce Tours website has two, free, self-guided tours of different street art and I came back and spent more than a few hours following that to some beautiful murals, and neighborhoods. Because of the Perfect Match program we learned about, the local council matches building and home owners with vacant walls with artists and now there are 150 murals scattered all around this part of Sydney. Plus, the Perfect Match website has a book of many of those murals for those who are interested. This was an excellent experience, which led to three more afternoons of mural hunting around Sydney. Well worth the low cost. I highly recommend this tour.

Robyn did an amazing job from the beginning with the engagement of the group, making everyone very comfortable. This was important to me as I was traveling solo. The walk was very educational with her allowing us to ask questions! Our group because of Robyn and her interaction, we intertwined very nicely connecting on different levels! Great job Robyn, she even made sure I got on the right train going back, definitely the added personal touch was the cherry on the cake! Great walking tour!!
