What a day! Eddy took us through Sydney, and shared not only the history of the eastern suburbs and Jews presence in Australia, but portions of history of the land and city in general. He didn’t hesitate to share some his personal experience living in Australia as well. He was so welcoming, it felt like we were visiting family. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn about Sydney, and who wants to meet a true Australian treasure. Thank you for a highlight of our trip!

Thanks for a great tour, Eddy! Eddy took us around Sydney in his car, he is very friendly and personable, and has a great life story. We learned so much about the city and Jewish history of Sydney. We had lunch at a great Israeli falafel place that we would never find ourselves, as well as saw places we would never otherwise find. Real Sydney Tours was very easy to communicate with and responsive to my questions. Great day in Sydney!

What a wonderful opportunity to see the various neighborhoods within Sydney from the viewpoint of someone who lives there. Darryl was terrific and also included a visit to the Jewish Museum, Central Synagogue and a drive by of the Our Big Kitchen (it wasn't open). We learned about Sydney's vibrant Jewish community - it's history and a view of its current challenges and successes. Well worth the time and the money.

Everything was excellent from making our booking with Darryl to meeting Andrew our tour guide. Easy to book, great experience and we got to pack a lot into our short time in Sydney. So glad we chose Real Sydney Tours and managed to hit all the high points.

Our guide Darryl picked us up from our hotel for a private tour of Sydney. It was wonderful! She took us to all of the highlights in downtown Sydney and to areas not available on a tour bus. Very personal. I highly recommend using her company. The second day we did the Blue Mountain tour with one of her other guides, Eddy. We also enjoyed this very much. Stopped along the way again in a few locations a tour bus could not go.

My husband and I had a wonderful tour of Sydney, courtesy of Darryl. We had a lovely mix of Jewish and secular Sydney. My favorite part, however, was visiting Our Big Kitchen, an awesome facility that reaches out to all in need, regardless of background, to ensure that food is available and no one goes hungry. We were most grateful to Darryl for sharing parts of her beautiful city with us.

Our Real Sydney and Hunter Valley private tours with Darryl were the best experiences we had in Australia. Darryl was wonderful through it all. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, she is the nicest person you'd want to spend time with. She took us to places that we would not have gone on our own and made great recommendations for other places and restaurants to explore. We were going to do the Real Blue Mountains tour with her as well but our trip was cut short due to Covid-19. We will definitely book with Darryl again the next time we go to Sydney!

This magical tour to the Hawkesbury River and Brooklyn was absolutely fabulous. Wolfgang and Darryl our tour guards /drivers were vibrant , extremely knowledgeable and lots of fun . From the moment you are seated in their five star first class transport you not only feel safe but very fortunate .The other tourists onboard were friendly and very easy to be with . As a solo traveller that is an added bonus . Our hosts take care to make appropriate pit stops for the group making the trip very comfortable. Views of the wonderful bush and Hawkesbury River were magical such a perfect day . Wolfgang and Darryl happily sharing their experiences and knowledge with us all . We made a stop at the working oyster beds at the “Oyster Shed” in Moonie Moonie , the weather was beautiful and it looked like an absolutely perfect spot to eat on another trip hopefully. After a short and very pleasant walk in Brooklyn we had the most fabulous lunch at the “Lifeboat Seafood “ The food was first class and the company perfect . The staff were so friendly In particular Marcus he made our day special , he said ,” our group had made his day too “. Our hosts returned us to Sydney Safe and sound , I highly recommend Real Sydney tours our host add such a personal touch to a perfect day out . 😊

For our 40th wedding anniversary, my husband and I went to Sydney, Australia, for the first time in our lives. The Real Sydney private tour was one of the highlights of our trip and set the tone for the rest of our time in Australia. Our punctual tour guide Darryl, picked us up from our hotel in a comfortable van, equiped with a step stool for short people, like me. She also delivered us on time to a restaurant, for a meal and another tour scheduled directly after this one. We couldn't pick just one part of the tour as a favorite, so here are numerous elements of the tour we liked: Darryl entertained us with an encyclopedia of information about Sydney without over sharing. Darryl took us to places we wouldn't have traveled to on our own, like Mrs. Macquarie's chair and more out of the way, beautiful parks. We went to the best places to take photos of the famous Sydney landmarks such as the Opera House juxtaposed with the Harbour Bridge and skyline. Darryl gave us advice on where to shop for opals and helped us take pictures. Darryl knew the best routes to take to avoid multiple road construction and traffic congestion in Sydney, so we could spend more time exploring this town. Here are some helpful tips to make your tour more enjoyable: Don't forget to bring a camera as there are tons of photo opportunities on this tour. If you go in October, which is spring in Australia, make sure to bring a rain jacket, a light sweater (pullover) and layered clothing. Wear walking shoes, because althrough this is a van tour, there are many stops to explore while walking. Allow at least four to six hours for this tour. Come with prepared questions about Sydney, for example, its history or where is the best places to eat your faviorite foods, tea, romantic meals, clothes shopping, sport activities and museums, ect. Know that this tour can be customized to meet your needs, so put in writing what you would like to do before hand. We would take another private tour with Darryl and Real Sydney tours based upon our prior experience. This activitiy is well worth the expensive.

Today we took a city tour with our guide Darryl Sloshberg. She was an excellent guide who gave us a good overall tour of Sydney. We drove to many different areas where she gave us information of the area and how it became. We walked a little and really got an idea of what Sydney is all about. We would highly recommend this tour especially if your time is limited. Ask for Darryl she is very good.
