This is a small-group, outdoor tour tailored especially to explore the Arctic nature while you are hunting for the Northern Lights. You will be picked up by your local guides in the city center and start the tour by heading towards beautiful mountains, fjords, and valleys.
There will be many stops on the way to take photos of the unique and search for the lights. Where your tour goes depends on the weather conditions, sometimes this is as far as to the Finnish and Swedish border to find the right conditions for the lights. We had a very good time in this trip. The guide in bus 3 ( can't recollect her namr) was excellent and knew her stuff. I was skeptical with the prediction but she took us to a location with a perfect viewing spot! Without a car we would have never reached Here. The bonfire and hot drinks were the perfect addition in the cold night. Very happy with the way it is organized.

Well worth it, they know the best spots to visit and have expert advice. Friendly guide and driver and the extra winter overall was needed as it was -10oC most of the time. Getting dropped up at the exact place you stay was a bonus too.

Very slick operation, a busy night chasing the lights, on the bus, off the bus. Good viewing of the lights so we were lucky. Guide worked hard to ensure everyone had a good experience. Be aware it is a long night but they do drop you back to your accommodation - at 2am!

I took this tour with my friend. We chose this company based on great reviews and that photos were included. We had one of the most memorable nights of our life. The tour started by being picked up in a minivan and meeting our guide and driver at 8pm. After about a 1.5 hour drive, our guides picked out the perfect spot to search for the Aurora. The Polar Adventures team had looked at the weather and picked out a location where there would not be any clouds for the evening. Our guide and driver stopped at a spot where we were able to spot the Aurora actively for several hours. I could tell the driver and guide were both very safety orientated when carefully selecting the perfect location for us. The tour operator supplied arctic jumpsuits, small chairs, and a fire. We drank hot chocolate and coffee and we ate cookies. We had a terrific experience. I recommend hot-hand hand-warmers, which were a lifesaver. Also a tip is to bring gloves with tech touch if you are taking photos with a cell phone. Our guide was an enthusiastic photographer and genuinely wanted to take as many photos as he could of the entire tour group. We received our pictures the next day - some of which are attached to the review. We saw the aurora dancing and it was magical! We were dropped off at our hotels safely around 1am. Thank you Polar Adventure for helping us check "Seeing the Northern Lights" off of our bucket list.

A great night spent chasing the lights with our guide Hans Erik and our driver, (unsure of his name). Hans Erik was a great guide and was extremely informative about the science behind the lights. Due to this information I was fortune enough to spot the lights again on my second night in Tromsø as I knew what to look for. My only wish is for there to be more photos available on the website from our trip of just the lights, but I understand Hans Erik prioritising photos of guests instead of the lights. Also, the meeting point information received from Viator was incorrect and very stressful, there was no one at Raddison Blu Hotel, rather the group met out the front of the Polar Adventure Office, which thankfully was across the road.

Everything about this tour was easy from the booking to the drop off at the end of the night. The guide was informative and explained we may not see the lights and why we wouldn’t see them. This wasn’t the case on this night. They were out big time. We did lots of short stops to see the lights from different view point culminating in a camp fire with marshmallows.] Highly recommended.

Super unprofessional tour. The guide (the girl) seemed pessimistic since the beginning , the tour said it included dinner ( a stew) which was a lie, the guide didn’t explained anything for hours and didn’t even try too see them. Of course we didn’t saw anything, the other group who had guide Hans saw them and had a better tour. Next day went to the same tour with artic explorers, 200%. times better and ver professional. Polar adventures was a waste of money, a very unplanned tour and a joke.

Driver and your guide were lovely but Not great communication from the pick up point bus parked away from raison blu and no one came to find us until 15 mins after pick up time Maybe put signes in windiwow of buses We found lights very quickly which was great and the first stop in a car park was fine if not a little crowded as we were amongst many looking. We then went on to travel a little more and with all the beautiful scenery in the area we ended up in a postage stamp size car park which was a sheet of ice and although offered drinks the snacks were very poor quality biscuits and the atmosphere sitting in a tiny car park was not what had been described in the literature I was dissapointed with this as viator have usually been good
