Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Lofoten Island, Norway

With this tour, which lasts about five hours, we want our visitors to see the most spectacular locations that these islands offer, both natural, historical, and cultural.

It will be possible for you to sit on pure white beaches facing a crystal sea, to admire imposing mountains which for billions of years have guarded, like ancient Viking warriors, magnificent cliffs where the waves of the North Sea break.

You will smell the scent of that same sea, united with the perfume of arctic flowers. At the same time, you might also visit archaeological sites which tell the story of the Viking population, and the origins of this land.Walk among the old “Rorbu” (old fishermen’s houses) in the different, colorful villages of the islands.

You will also have the chance to taste the various typical products of these islands, while sitting in some characteristic local restaurants.

With this excursion, we would like to take you to discover these islands; we will not only visit some of the characteristic fishing villages which have made these islands famous, and are appreciated all over the word, but we’ll also take you to explore unspoiled nature, the most genuine and extraordinary part of this beautiful archipelago.

We will drive you through the islands and their amazing white sandy beaches, icy lakes and high mountains covered by snow.

You will admire Arctic landscapes and fishing communities where, you can breath the history and the atmosphere of the ancient times when the fishermen used to gather up here to participate to the cod fishing season.

Gimsøy island , Bøstad and its panoramic spot, the Vestfjord , Henninsgvær, the Venice of the north and Kabelvåg are some of the places you will visit.

With this short tour you will have the possibility of capturing the best that these islands can offer you.

We booked this tour as opposed to one through the cruise line, because we were led to believe there would be fewer guests than on a typical cruise ship tour with a tour bus filled like a cattle car. Although it was advertised as having a “maximum of 36 guests,” it actually was a full-size tour bus with 50+ passengers. Had we known the truth in advance, we would not have booked. I would recommend avoiding this company (Lofoten Lights) due to their deceptive advertising.

We had Eric as our tour guide and he provided excellent commentary and also took some great photos. The tour visited many beautiful locations and the weather was amazing. Our driver was very good. Cost of the tour was much better priced than our cruise ship with a much smaller group.

Laura was a fabulous guide. Full of local information, especially about Viking history and trolls. Very impressive. Perfect excursion to learn about and see Lofoten. Elenora and Claudia made the extra effort to make this trip happen for our group. Forever grateful to them both.

Nice enough day trip but too much time devoted to the wrong things (eg 15 mins at a plain wooden church, 50 mins at a horse stables and beach ) and virtually no time at all stopping at the many picturesque and photogenic places that characterise these islands - only one viewpoint for this. Expected many photo opportunities but there were very few. Saw a lot of lovely scenery wiz by through bus windows!

We arranged a 6 hour private tour of Lofoten Islands with pickup and drop off at the cruise port in Leknes. Eleonora, of Lofoten Lights, handled all the correspondence with me and she was very easy to work with. Our guide, Eliza, was there to meet us at the agreed time and we were quickly en route in a clean and comfortable mini van. We were blessed with perfect summer weather and we quickly found that Lofoten to be one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. We traveled south from Leknes and visited several lovely fishing villages and many incredibly scenic spots. Along the way we had a marvelous lunch in Reine at Anita’s Seafood (we loved the fish burgers). Eliza was the perfect tour guide, always engaging, flexible and informative. We absolutely loved our visit here and we highly recommend Lofoten Lights.

Visit to the fishing village. Would have liked a little more time there, maybe a little less at the beach. A photo stop at the church & long house would have been nice.

This is a great day in and around the Lofoten Islands and serves as a great overview of a magical place. The trip will take you to mountains, sandy beaches, lakes and the wonderful Henningsvaer village with the famous football stadium. Highly recommend this trip.

A great day trip that offered an opportunity to see plenty of wonderful scenery. Luckily the weather on this day was great as there were a number of snow storms the previous few days.

Erik was an excellent guide. He has been coming from abroad and living now for 14 years here. He knows everything and everyone. The stories and information give a deep insight into life here. He drove us also to interesting spots within the 5 hours. Even beaches are part of it. Erik also does northern light watching guidance. We could not see it of course in august but he know all the spots, I am sure!
