The tour was lovely. We visited the national park and the ruins of an abbey. The guide, Damian was very knowledgeable and super friendly. I enjoyed every moment of the tour. Also the tour guide Damian gave me a lot of suggestions for things to do in Ireland.

We just walked up to the area where all of the jaunting cars were and asked for a ride. You don't need to book this ahead of time. The ride takes you through a portion of the park. IT's nice enough. The driver told us a story or two and gave us some of the history. We saw the deer, the lake, the castle (from a distance). Overall it was a nice little ride. We saved money by not booking ahead. He asked for 15 euros per person and we took all six in the same carriage.

We booked a jaunting car tour for Saturday, April 27th with McCarthys based on online reviews. It far exceeded our expectations. Damien, our guide/driver, was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. We enjoyed talking with him and would highly recommend McCarthy Killarney carriage rides.
