Enjoy some of Mexico City’s must-see spots with our ‘Colors of Mexico’ adventure.

Your day begins in Coyoacán, one of Mexico’s most influential cities. As you wander its tree-lined streets, you’ll learn how this city played a part in historical empires like the Aztec and Spanish.

Then visit la Casa Azul (if option selected), Frida Kahlo’s home and now museum. We’ll immerse ourselves in the trailblazing life of one of Mexico’s most original artists.

From the inspired art of Frida Kahlo, we’ll head to the eye-catching Xochimilco and board a trajinera - a colorful, gondola-like boat - for a ride through the neighborhood’s famous canals. As you indulge in local treats , your guide will share the incredible details of what makes this area a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Before finishing the tour, walk around North America's oldest university and admire its Central Campus, another World Heritage site.

I had an incredible experience with Christian and Leticia as our tour guide. They were knowledgeable, engaging, and made every moment of the tour enjoyable. They provided fascinating insights into the history and culture of the places we visited and was always ready to answer questions with enthusiasm and depth. Their friendly demeanor and professionalism truly enhanced the experience. I highly recommend Amigo Tours to anyone looking for an unforgettable tour!

A long day but with most of the time spent in the coach (which was comfortable to be far)

First stop was a tourist trap shop which was completely the wrong direction from everything else. This meant we didn't get to first actual stop on tour for over 2.5 hours after we left. Not the best use of time..

The rest of the tour was OK and the guides were nice..

Did allow a quick hit of a few attractions but wouldn't recommend overall.

This review is similar to some of the other 1 star reviews that are out there. We booked this because we wanted to see "Xochimilco, Coyoacán & Frida Kahlo Museum". This was a 10 hour tour, where we spent only 4 hours doing these activites. This included roughly: 1 hr at Xochimilco, 20 min at Coyoacan, and 1 hr at Frida Kahlo, with about an hour of travelling to get there.

The other 6 hours were driving driving 20 minutes out of the way to pick up 1 person, and then driving in the opposite direction for 30 minutes to see a silver smith shop, and having about an hour to look around. Then hitting a lot of traffic to make it to the university to see one mural for another 20 minutes. Then stopping for lunch in the middle of nowhere for some food. Which made no sense because Coyoacan had about 30 different cute restaurants to explore.

Save yourself the trouble and book a tour that only does "Xochimilco, Coyoacán & Frida Kahlo Museum" and don't spend most of the day on the bus doing other activities.

Also the bi-lingual tour was tough to follow. Every other sentence was English vs. Spanish. It would have been easier to follow if one short story was told in Spanish, and then told in English, so it wasn't flipping back and forth constantly every sentence.

Alan our tour guide was very informative, spoke very good English, and answered all our questions very thoroughly. I really enjoyed the boat ride in Xochimilco, great way to try local drinks and food. My favorite part of the tour was the Frida Kahlo Museum which is in Coyoacán. The only critique I have is I wish we had a bit more time to walk around Coyoacán and the museum and less time at the library. As a solo traveler I felt very safe the whole trip and Alan never forgot me even when I was late.

We only spent around 2 hours in the actual places described for the tour (Xochimilco, Frida Kahlo’s museum and Coyoacán); the rest of the time was spent in traffic and in a visit to a silver store which took an hour of the tour’s time without any important purpose. We were picked up at 8AM and we were dropped off around 7PM, so be prepared for a long day. No breakfast. No lunch (you get taken to a 1/5 restaurant for expensive buffet or a la carte). Tour started wrong with the unnecessary visit to the silver store, then to the Campus (where they decided to explain everything facing the sun), Xochimilco, Lunch Break, Coyoacán (we were only shown the church, nothing else) and Frida Kahlo’s museum for which the guides stayed outside.

Summary: Not worth it in my opinion, and would not recommend. Try to find separate tours, or just book one for Xochimilco, as Frida Kahlo is a private museum, and the tour guides would not go in with you.

The guides were good but Instead of heading south towards the 4 promised attractions from the meeting site, the bus headed north on a nearly 2 hour detour to a tourist trap silver shop. Once we finally got to Xochimilco, that part of the tour was fine but the next stop was a tourist restaurant in a non descript part of town with no alternatives and then we headed to the university (which we were looking forward to) but they didn’t check the traffic conditions to see that there was a road closure that left us sitting in traffic for hours not moving which meant that we had to skip that stop and only had about 15 minutes in Coyoacán before the timed tickets to the Frida Kahlo museum (which we were able to see). To spend an hour at Xochimilco, an hour at the museum and 15-20 minutes in Coyoacán took over 10 hours. I recommend the attractions we did see but this was not a fun day.

We booked without museum. Tour guide was awesome! Everything was well organized and we saw so many great sites! My fault for not asking before but I didn’t know it was ALL day 8-6:30pm. It would have been nice to have the schedule in advance.

My experience was beautiful, the people are very friendly and respectful of foreigners, the food is delicious, the drinks are very good, entering the lagoon we were able to see a witches island, it is very beautiful, a little scary but very fun, I recommend it to 100% so they can get to know and enjoy a beautiful place.

While the tour itself was wonderful, the guides where very friendly and knowledgeable, I got terrible food poisoning from the lunch buffet they took us to. I was ill for 24 hours, following the tour, which was the only thing I had eaten that day.
