Surfers Paradise

Surfers Paradise is the major tourist hub of the Gold Coast with plenty of hotels, attractions and events year-round. The Gold Coast is very lucky to have around 300 days of sunshine per year so make sure you pack lots of sunscreen.

Summer (December - February) is the wettest season with February experiencing the most rain and some afternoon tropical storms. The average temperatures sit around 22 – 30°C. It can be quite humid in summer however the Gold Coast generally gets cool sea breezes.

Autumn (March – May) is a great time to visit as the water temperature at the beaches is still warm enough to swim and there is typically less rain than the summer months. Daytime weather is beautiful followed by cooler nights with average temperatures between 18 – 26°C.

The weather on the Gold Coast in winter (June – August) provides blue skies and less humidity. The temperature averages between 13 - 22°C. You'll still find plenty of people enjoying the beach and swimming in winter.

Spring time (September – November) on the Gold Coast is popular for tourists, particularly in school holidays, and provides temperatures of around 17 - 26°C. It can get a little windy in September which can be perfect for water sports such as kite-surfing and sailing.
