We enjoyed the entire itinerary while learning about the beauty and culture of Kyoto. Our guide Mutsumi was well organized, knowledgeable, friendly and had a great sense of humor. We learned so much and had a wonderful experience with her. She even went beyond our expectations by helping us organize our future vacation planning. We highly recommend Mutsumi as your guide!

We were extremely satisfied with the tour with Akiko-san! Her guidance made it possible for us to hit so many of the beautiful locations in Kyoto in one day. She shared so much knowledge about the various locations we went to and gave us a deeper appreciation for the locations we were visiting. She was very kind and very patient through all the picture stops, and she even helped suggest locations for us to go to after the tour ended and how to get back to our hotel.

Today my husband and I had a great private tour with our guide named Taka. He was very friendly and had a lot of knowledge about all the sites we saw. He also made it enjoyable with his sense of humor. Would highly recommend this tour with him. This was the first time visiting Kyoto and can’t wait to come back!

Without Akiko’s expertise we would not have been able to see a fraction of the wonderful sights of Kyoto. She effortlessly guided us through the public transport system and taxis to get us to those sights. Her explanations on the various sights showed her passion for what she does. We would highly recommend this tour really enjoyed it.

Amazing fun tour. The travel was well planned and efficient. The sites and locations were amazing and beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and really made each location come to life. Instead of just looking at a beautiful building, you gain an understanding of the history behind it. You also get insights into the Japanese culture and traditions. We had a great meal at a good restaurant but also got to try a lot of samples along the way, allowing us to pick and choose omiyage (small gifts) for our friends and family back home. Unlike group tours, this tour is done at a relaxed pace and it allows you to enjoy the experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. One note - you do have to pay for the taxis/train rides and meals - even then, it was well worth it. Highly recommend!

Booking this tour was the BEST decision! This is our first time in Japan and Kyoto was the first city we visited. Mia was so impressive and kind! She gave us great information and took us all around Kyoto to explore! We got to experience the different kinds of public transportation which was pretty awesome and gave us a better understanding of how to use it going forward. All the areas we saw were fantastic and beautiful! Having Mia navigate us around was truly amazing, we got to see SO MUCH more than we would have being on our own. THANK YOU so much for being such a great guide and giving us a wonderful and memorable private experience!!
