Itinerary

Day 1: Day 1: Dublin - Belfast

Pass By: Dublin, Dublin, County Dublin
Depart Dublin with your fantastic Irish Tour Guide and a host of other international travelers of all ages. We depart at 8.15 am from Paddys Palace (Dublin Central Hostel on Lower Gardiner Street)/ 8.20am from O'Connell Street (in front of Savoy cinema)/ 8.30am from Dublin Tourist Office on Suffolk street (the former church on the south side of town).A wonderful tour lies ahead, with a short 2 hour drive to Belfast on the brand new 'Peace Highway'. The drive up will be broken up by some interesting and lovely little stops.

Stop At: Monasterboice Monastic Site, 1 Off the N Ireland
Our first stop are the haunting ruins of Monasterboice. See a real 10th century round tower and learn how our ancestors took refuge from the Vikings. Touch the most beautiful Celtic crosses in Ireland, hand-carved by monks in the 9th century.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Belfast, Belfast, Northern Ireland
Arrive in lovely Belfast where we visit Belfast's number 1 attraction - the Titanic Experience (entry included)! We take you on a fascinating journey back in time during which we get to experience Titanic's story. From her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her infamous maiden voyage and catastrophic demise. With plenty of free time in Belfast city, we recommend the optional (£10) Black Taxi Tour which will take you on a political and historical journey of the city. You will visit the Falls and Shankill Roads, murals and the peace wall, learn the city's troubled history and how Belfast overcame the troubles. This tour comes highly recommended by Lonely Planet. Use the free time to enjoy lunch and shopping in Belfast bustling downtown area. Excellent shopping opportunities as the prices are much lower than Dublin! We also recommend a visit to the Crown Liquor Saloon, Grand Opera House, Botanical Gardens, City Hall, Queen's University, and Belfast's own leaning tower - Albert Clock. We will overnight in Belfast's historic city location, the University quarter with a vast array of bars, music venues and fantastic eateries to suit all budgets.

Since the 18th century The Giant's Causeway has often been described as 'The Eighth Wonder Of The World' and once you have visited the site you will quickly see why. The area consists of an estimated 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns, which were formed during a volcano eruption 60 million years ago. This is one of the great natural attractions of the world and many believe the Causeway was built by a giant Finn McCool. A brand new ultra-modern visitor center has opened and we include the entrance (worth £9). Visit to the center offers you their unique audio guides with earphones which tells the story of the rock formations as you stand on them.

Pick up was a nightmare as we told Beresford place was our pick up point. Buses came to Gardiner lower street where no one was. There should be someone to organise who got on which bus or which side. Day one bus driver was nice but didn’t have any patience- he knew the history which was great. Titanic was a great experience very enjoyable. The accommodation was not bed and breakfast - nice enough but had one bed instead of twin beds as requested. They moved us to another room Day two was brilliant starting with the bus driver who made the day great. He has a great system of preordering lunch as well as arranging black cabs for those who wanted them. All stops were great and Frank the driver knew the history behind them all

On the tour, Jhon flipped the guide script. Picture music, jokes, and a super friendly vibe. It was a unique twist that added something special to the journey. Props to Jhon for the awesome tour! 🎶😊

Richard was an amazing driver and enhanced the experience greatly. I recommend anybody that visits to try to find a guide with as much enthusiasm and character to inform them. Thanks for the good time!

We highly recommend this tour! John was hilarious and very informative. We hope we can see him again one day! The only thing we would change is that the Dark hedges were a little disappointing. They were gorgeous definitely, but have changed a lot over time.

Lovely guide/driver. When we booked this tour (through a different brand website) we believed it was a small group tour. The website 'Kennedy and Carr' advertised these as their specialty. We showed up and the actual company was paddywagon and we were on a bus with 55 people. It was very expensive for one night away and I would not do it again. Our accommodation was disgusting. The titanic experience was the only attraction that was included that wasn't free. They took us to Monsterboice (free), the dark hedges (free), Dunluce castle (free), Giants Causeway (free). There was no included tour of Belfast. We had to pay extra for the Black cab tour - which was great, but wished it was included. A lot of time spent on the bus. Late lunches each day - around 2-3pm Felt scammed - for what we paid, n ot worth it at all.

Just finished a 2 day tour of Northern Ireland with Paddywagon tours, it was a fabulous, interesting experience got to do the Titanic Experience, The Black Taxi tour, The Giant Causeway, Dunlouce Castle and the Dark Hedges as well as leisure time in Belfast city. I would recommend this tour I know that The Black Taxi tour was extra but well worth it. Our first driver Cash was very hospitable and made sure everyone had a good time and enjoyed it. Our Second driver Alex also was very hospitable and a mindful of interesting information he too went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. Even though my friends and I are from Ireland I would recommend our fellow Irish to do this tour or other tours with the Paddywagon tours as a fantastic time was had by all. I would not use this tour company again, unfortunately. Had a very bad experience on their two day tour :( I've paid a similar amount for a 3 day tour that was WAY better. (Rabbies—such good quality!) --The “economy” room level booked for us was awful. The room wasn’t entirely clean, featured no true bath room door (without a handle!) or divider for shower. The beds also creaked and dipped horrendously. It looked like a remade over hospital :( Had I known in advance these would be the accommodations, I would have declined--but accommodation details were not sent in advance, which other tours usually do. I’ve done other overnight economy level accommodations and never stayed in something without a useable bathroom. Even hostel rooms are better than this and have bathrooms with separate doors and showers! We went and stayed at a different hotel--and Paddywagon still hasn't responded to my email asking for a partial refund on the hotel. --We almost didn’t make the bus as the tour guide showed up and simply said “titanic day trip experience” and walked away after being 30 minutes late. I had to chase him to ask where the bus for the overnight two-day tour to that area was “oh you’re with me.” So…we nearly missed the tour bus pick up because of poor communication. --Our tour guide—while knowledgable and energetic—was very loud, made several very offensive jokes, and blew a loud whistle and or screamed/yelled multiple times into the microphone. It was *incessant* and made for an unpleasant ride. He was also rude to a passenger who was trying to help him find something. --We were unable to take the black cab tours that were offered as an arranged part of the tour, as I’m not sure the guide realized things don’t open early on Sundays…(?) So that experience I really wanted to have that I couldn’t—and now probably never will. --Our bus ride back has no reserved seats as described in the trip details on the website and was also half an hour late. (Although that operator on day 2 was lovely! I wish we had him day 1!) You basically get shoved onto other giant day tours and its not a dedicated tour, which kinda ruins the experience. I get that its economical but this two-day tour wasn't cheap so it's just not worth it. Their customer service team use kinda useless sadly.
