Day 1: HIKING THE TALLEST PICK OF THE WEST
Stop At: Afadjato (Mount Afadjato), Ghana
Get ready to hike west Africa's tallest mountain. Usually you are expected to climb within 1 hour but kudos if you can reach top in less time. Bring your face towels and bottles of water along. Don't forget some good boots
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Wli Waterfalls, Afegame Ghana
Take a 45 minutes walk and cross nine rivers to see the tallest waterfall in Ghana. Swim in the ice cool water and have a picnic
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Hohoe, Hohoe, Volta Region
Drive through beautiful countryside towns in the upper volta region. see picturesque mountains and unlimited greenery.

Day 2: Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary
Stop At: Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary And Cultural Village, Tafi Atome Ghana
Visit the sacred forest of Tafi Atome to see rear mona monkeys
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Amedzofe, Amedzofe, Volta Region
A drive to Amedzofe to see Ghana's highest settlement. Hiking Mount Gemi is an option at a charged fee

We had such a great time! Both days were filled with amazing experiences. Nathan was very personable and knowledgeable. He taught us many things on our way there. Our first stop was Monkey Sanctuary. They were so friendly! We held bananas, and the monkeys would jump on our shoulders, and eat. Nearby we drove to our start of a short hike to the Wli waterfall. The view from the Lower falls was amazing. Some locals were there too having fun. They walked all the way so they were directly under the falls to take pictures! The hotel we stayed at after was very nice. Dinner was tasty. We loved the scenery, and when we were tired, we slept comfortably in an air conditioned room. The next day was Mount Afadjato. I was a little nervous, because I never climbed a mountain before, and I work a desk job at home. I’m moderately fit, but not super active. Thankfully, though challenging, it was doable. And it was very rewarding to make it to the top. We didn’t have hiking boots, but we brought walking sticks. I feel like they helped out a ton! I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.

This 2 day trip was very memorable. Nathan our driver and tour guide was attentive and very knowledgeable. Starting with our journey from Accra to the Volta region he gave us the history and geography lessons along the way. He made sure we were comfortable.3
Tafi monkey sanctuary was surprisingly great. The monkeys were gentle and would just eat from your hands:) Wli water falls was beautiful.The views were amazing! Especially on Mount Afadja. We took so many pictures ,Climbing the mountain was incredibly hard but rewarding. I will recommend walking sticks for the climb up although not very helpful on the climb down.
I recommend this tour to anyone looking for an adventure.

I recently went on an unforgettable overnight tour of Afadjato, Wli, and the monkey sanctuary in Ghana's Volta region with Happy Eagle Tours. The high point for me was the high sense of professionalism exhibited by the tour operator and her team of excellent guides. They know the environment so well and they kept us in real good company in understanding the history and life of the indigenes and what it adds to the glamour and abundance of what Ghana does offer to its people and tourists all over the globe.
