Plus points
- The trip is very well organised
- Youssef our driver was polite, friendly, accommodating and got us there and back safely
- The scenery is great - from tiny settlements to mountains to desert
- The desert camp was amazing, and we really enjoyed it
- We chose the luxury camp and it was like a very good hotel room. We were really impressed with it.
- The camp was beautifully set out with many nice seating areas and a restaurant tent
- The camp people and the camel drivers Mohammed and Ali were very friendly and helpful and chatty
- Dinner was very, very good
- The camel ride was fantastic. Definitely my best ever
- The camels looked very well treated
- The van was comfortable and air-conditioned
- There are lots of stops en route
- Ait Ben Haddou is a great place to visit
- We liked the music, drumming and bonfire in the evening
- Overall, it was an amazing experience and definitely exceeded my expectations
Improvements
- I would have much preferred to have a guide as there was no interpretation whatsoever so we were in the van for about seven hours a day with no commentary. This is great if you can amuse yourself but having an extra guide would’ve been brilliant. I wanted to learn about Burber culture and the history of the area. I’m sure there’s a lot of interesting facts to share.
- I would’ve much preferred to stop in towns for lunch rather than at roadside restaurants with little character.
- We stopped in Oazaxate for only 15 minutes. Youssef kindly agreed to extend the time we had by another 15 minutes so we could nip into the old town which looked amazing.
- Youssef also agreed to add add one unscheduled five minute stop so we could see an amazing view. Otherwise, it would have just been driving on day 2. The program needs changing for day 2 so it doesn’t just feel like transportation but feels more like sightseeing.
- The coffee stops were very limited with just packets of crisps and chocolate etc . Why not stop somewhere with proper Moroccan food?
- Finally, I would have appreciated some fresh fruit and yoghurt - a more healthy breakfast and not just pastries in the camp.

Great experience from Marrakesh for a 2 days trip.
The only downside is the time on road, quite long. Return is around 5-7 PM the next day.

My friends and I had an amazing two-day desert trip with Abdelaali. He made sure we had an incredible time, taking care of every detail. Abdelaali's friendly nature made the trip unforgettable. From camel rides to stunning sunsets, it was an adventure we'll never forget. If you're thinking about a desert excursion, go with Abdelaali. It's totally worth it!

We had an amazing 2 day trip to the Zagora desert. It was an experience like no other and would recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech. We loved our camel ride during the sunset and the morning sunrise.
Our driver, Abdelaali, was excellent, really friendly and chatty and gave us extra information about the cities we passed. He knew good locations to stop and take pictures of the beautiful scenery. The car was comfortable for the long drive and there were regular stops along the way for refreshments and bathroom breaks.
I would recommend bringing an additional 600MAD (€60) cash for the 2 day trip for 2 people as lunch is around 130MAD per person each day (not including refreshments along the way like water/coffee/snacks) you have to pay for the tour guides (30-80MAD) and at some places they do not take card payments. The prices felt very reasonable and would be good to have extra cash as tips. If you would like to buy a good quality head scarf for the desert, that's an additional 230MAD each which we did purchase with card. We would also recommend getting 1.5L bottle of water at your last stop as it is difficult to get at the camp.

Amazing experience overall. Not only our driver and tour guides, but everyone we met in Morocco was exceptionally nice. Our driver Houssein was excellent and made sure we were consistently comfortable (as well as the first ones at the camp!). Insanely worth it for the price, extras were lunch, souvenirs, etc.

This must be on your bucket list!!! A phenomenal experience I will cherish forever. You must ask for Houssein I'd hammou as your tour guide. He was so kind, hospitable, knowledgeable and professional. He planned our tour so expertly that we reached camp site well in time for the most wonderful sunset. A very well run, organised and efficient tour by a reputable agency. Exactly as the tour description and as a single female travelling alone I felt 100% safe at all times.
