This is a great excursion to do in San Diego. Balboa park of beautiful and Go Car is the best way to explore the huge park. Also, the staff was very friendly and had really good energy.

The guided scooter tour was impressive. The technology worked flawlessly the entire time and was an ideal tour guide. The scooters themselves were great and we continuously heard "nice ride" or "where did you rent those" from people we passed by in the street. And more importantly, the scooters help us cover a lot of ground during our 2 hour tour. They were easy to operate and handle - even for those in our family that had never scootered before. The staff was great, accommodating and answered all our questions. They made us feel appreciated before and after the tour. Make this a must-do activity during your first few days in SD to get a better feel for the city and its history.

Though we are from San Diego,
we always wanted to try GoCar Tours and we had the best time! We have a new appreciation for our town and had so much fun doing it.

This was a really fun way to see a lot of sites in a short time! We rented the sit-down scooters with fat tires for 2 hours. We only stopped a few times for photos, so we easily got through the 2-hour route. Enjoyed going through Balboa park & seeing the ship museum. It was tough a few times in traffic, but we made it. Their 2-seater cars looked fun (driver & the passenger sits behind them).
Place was easy to find & folks were very nice. GPS worked fine, and they told some stories along the way too.
Recommend if you are comfortable riding alongside traffic. You can use bike lanes a lot, so it wasn’t that big a deal to us. Fun!

The scooters we rented were great. We did a 2-hour tour and saw a lot of San Diego. The scooters are equipped with GPS and a voice guide that kept us on course and explained different landmarks as we pass them. They had fat tires that made it easy to ride once you got to feel for it.
Unfortunately, one of our two scooters started losing power about 3/4 of the way into the trip. It almost didn't make it up the last small hill and then completely died about two blocks from the drop off.
That would have been understandable, but the person that checked us in accused us of going off course and that's why the battery died. He dialed back his tone when he saw that we didn't like being accused of something we didn't do, but it put a damper on the experience as a whole.
If not for the poor customer service, I would have rated this trip a 4 or even a 5 because it was that much fun. However, customer service is part of the experience and this particular employee blew it... And he knew it.
