Itinerary
This is a private one on one lesson where you will get the maximum attention with your own personal instructor. Once arriving at the beach, you will be sized up for gear with a foam top surfboard, reef walker surf shoes to protect your feet and a SPF surf shirt to protect against sun burn and surf rash. After getting outfitted with gear a hands on demonstartion will take place covering all the fundamentals of surfing, including proper technique and etiquette, the pop up method and a detailed on shore and in water safety briefing. All lessons are 2 hours total. Complimentary drinking waters will be available after each lesson.

Bradley and Parker were great!! We had 4 people and everyone had an excellent experience!! They made every effort to make sure everyone was safe and had a great time!

These guys work hard! Water was rough the day we went. The instructors helped to tow us around. They give everything you need; board, rashguard, water shoes, water. You just got to come ready to work out!

My 10 year old granddaughter wanted to learn how to surf. Our expectations were exceeded! She was careful to listen to all of Max's directions in the practice on the surf board while on land. She was able catch several waves, with a helpful push. She was also able to stand up on the surf board by herself and thoroughly enjoyed her lesson with Max. Thank you for the excellent instruction and a great memory for her.
My only regret is that I didn't bring a better camera for distance photos.

Was wanting to catch some waves before taking the late flight out of Kona and Kaleo came in clutch. He was very helpful in setting me up with a lesson just the night before, and let me know how the tide was the morning of surfing. Such a chill and encouraging dude. The morning of, got a quick ground lesson and then my instructor, Brad, and I went out for a 2 hr private lesson. Shoutout to Brad. Had a great time with you man. Thanks for being patient, kind, and helping me catch some waves. Looking forward to seeing you guys again soon. Mahalo 🤙🏼

Ohana Surf lessons are our number one choice for surf lessons when friends, and family are in town. Kaleo is born and raised in Kona and definitely full of Aloha spirit!

Did a two hour solo session and had a blast. It was my first time surfing and was actually able to ride some waves. Will definitely book again my next trip to Kona

My son (13) and I (41) really wanted to do surfing on our last day at the Big Island, and Ohana Surf Lessons made it happen! They helped me book a last minute semi-private session via text messaging and a phone call. Their spot was easy to find and they provided a rash guard, footwear, and of course a beginner board. Brandon was an awesome instructor and gave us the basics on land before jumping into the water. He did a great job telling us which waves to catch and when to paddle. He also gave us helpful pushes to make it easier for us to surf! I loved the "surf talk" between everyone while we were waiting for the right waves to come in. I would highly recommend Ohana surf lessons!
