I went with friends and we had a such a good time!! Rapid fire, fun instructions with a wonderful instructor followed by some time to dance (until 2am!) with a live band. Great venue and atmosphere.

Place is nice.. they do classes upstairs for half an hr and if you are newbie it is nice introduction. The instructors are good, helps if you understand Spanish. But the crowd downstairs on the floor is quite good.. so you may not fit in if you are new or don't.

We loved the salsa class, it was so fun!! Rich was friendly and a good teacher. Only reason for the 3* review is because of the price- we didn’t realise how much we overpaid by booking this via Tripadvisor. The real cost of this class is 50-100 peso per person for entry into the salsa club. The salsa lesson is included within the entry ticket. I’ll note that Rich did also offer us a cocktail each which probably would have cost ~100Peso each at a guess. So: my advice- DONT buy on Tripadvisor! Simply turn up at the Mama Rumba and buy your own ticket at the door. And you’ll spend 1/4 of the price!

A fantastic experience! We are beginners and we were taught lots of moves and the teachers were incredible. After the lessons there’s time to dance freely and we were lucky enough to have a live Cuban band! We felt very comfortable, the venue was excellent and the other participants were so friendly. It was great, thank you!

I've bene wanting to learn salsa forever so decided to sign up for this along with my adult daughter and had a fantastic time with Rich. He is super friendly, speaks English very well and taught us lovely dance steps. The place you go to feels very safe and the experience includes one drink each. Although the class technically ends by 11 p.m., you're welcome to stay longer and enjoy the club and dancing!

I and my partner traveling in Mexico City choose this experience and we had a blast, everybody dancing, and the live music, and the mojitos OMG, it´s an experience where you can create a bond and funny memories with your BF. The place is amazing, Highly recommended.

One of the highlights of my trip to Mexico, highly recommend anyone to try this out because my only regret was that I didn't go more often! It's a great time for whatever level you're at with Salsa (which is great because you learn a lot dancing with more advanced people). Whether you have a partner or you're a solo traveller, you'll easily make friends and find great people to dance with at the class before the club opens to everyone and also after it opens because everyone there is so nice and respectful and genuinely looking to dance to great music all night. I was a solo traveller and worried that I won't find anyone to dance with, but Rich was a fantastic teacher, had a great time dancing with him and learning more about Mexico. While I'd recommend everyone to dance because I love to, I'd recommend this experience even if you just want to experience a core cultural experience, have a drink and listen to a phenomenal Salsa Band. Make time for this, you won't regret it!
