Great fun on this river raft float and then chocolate demonstration. We saw all sorts of wildlife and birds with Toni our river guide. Crocodiles, monkeys, spectacled owl and much more. Then we learned about the family's farm and were shown the process for making chocolate and ate a bunch and also got lots to take back to the hotel. Edgardo was a fascinating guide around the farm and through the chocolate process. Then there was a delicious lunch prepared for us with many traditional Costa Rican items. We would definitely do this tour again.

Oscar was an amazing guide. We saw so many animals! Sloths, monkeys, boa, Caiman, tiger herons, small bats, mommy & baby owl, Jesus lizard & lots of beautiful birds. The water fall was spectacular! The lunch was some of the best food we have had while in Costa Rica! A fabulous time! Thank you for the amazing memories! My girls say it’s hands down their favorite thing we have done here. Thank you! ❤️ Pura Vida!

Absolutely wonderful day! Mario and Carlos pointed out animals nearly as soon as i got in the van. The float was serene, saw lots of animals! The snack in between was great and the property it was on is beautiful. The trip to the waterfall was gorgeous. Those stairs are no joke going back up. If you aren’t in the best of shape (like me) take your time. Carlos was super patient w/me. The lunch at the ranch was amazing. Their property is absolutely stunning and peaceful. The food was delicious and the family were warm and welcoming. 100% book this trip. They were nice enough to do the trip with just me. It’s hard as a solo traveler sometimes to find places that don’t require two people let alone don’t cancel if nobody else signs up. They were also kind enough to let me park at their house since I had my luggage in my car as I was headed to monteverde afterwards. Eliana was very helpful making those arrangements and even joined us for the float on her day off.

Absolutely the best. The guides Fabricio and Johan where so helpful and wonderful. We had a 3 yearold on the float trip with another family they got wind of the fact that today was the 3 yearolds birthday and at the end of the float portion had a banana cake and candle for her. The food at the farm in between the two trips was great fresh cheese and cakes, fesh squeezed juices. At the waterfall which has 500 steps down and back up they waited for our swim and watched the valueables. The information and stories they tell along the way are great. The lunch after everything was at a small ranch/farm it was the best food with homemade ice cream What a wonderful day. Really anyone can do the float trip portion The waterfalls can be seen above if you dont want to walk down. Fabricio and Johan really made the trip special

What an amazing day. Our guides were Andres and Tom. Absolutely perfect day. Wonderful experience. Just can't say enough about our day. The guides were knowledgeable a d very respectful. So many exotic animals. We had snacks and nice late lunch right on the company's property. The owner was so pleasant they had a sloth 🦥 on the property and was so cool. Taught us about chocolate that is really a fruit. We felt like family in their presence and just at home. The waterfall was well worth all the steps, the river tour was relaxing and exciting all at the same time. If you are in the LA Fortuna area this is a must tour for your group, be sure to ask for Andres and Tom. Pura Vida my friends.

This was the perfect trip to introduce us to the Arenal and La Fortuna area on our first day here. The guide Carlos was extremely knowledgeable about Costa Rica, the La Fortuna area, the local volcanoes, native wildlife, and both the native and invasive plants and agriculture practices in the area. We were so impressed and pleased with how kind and friendly all the guides and staff were here! On the trip we were able to see many monkeys, a toucan, iguanas, graceful water birds as well as vultures and hawks. Carlos expertly identified animals in the rainforest surrounding the river that we never would have seen on our own. Following the river tour we had a snack at a beautiful garden cafe made of fresh juice and coffee, cheese, fried plantain and a local rice cake. The snack was much needed for the trip to come. The hike down to the Fortuna Waterfall is over 500 stairs down, and over 500 stairs back up. At the pool below the waterfall you can swim under the waterfall on a light water day, however since we went right after the rains the water was flowing too hard. We swam a bit down river instead. After the trip was finished, we went to lunch at the company’s exclusive restaurant. It is not an exaggeration to say this was the best food we had on our trip. The meat and fish was cooked for many hours over a wood stove. The traditional beans, rice, plantain, and vegetable mix was served with meat, tomato salad, salsa and a delicious fresh tortilla made with beet juice for a vibrant purple color. This trip and company are highly recommended! We would not recommend adding the volcano hike at the end. We did not do it and cannot speak to its intrigue, but everyone on our trip was so tired after the river tour and waterfall hike that those who booked the volcano hike ended up deciding not to do it after all.

This trip was amazing and well worth! We started out early. Our guide, Carlos immediately found us two species of Toucans and an elusive sloth on the roadside before we even got to La Fortuna Waterfall. The waterfall is breathtaking. The tour company prepared us well. Remember to bring water shoes and go early before the crowds arrive! We swam with some fish there too. Next we were off to the river for rafting. Carlos was so well versed in all things Costa Rica and he has been a tour guide for years. He even attracted some Howler monkeys for us. Even though it rained it did not hinder our enjoyment of nature. It is the rainforest after all, expect to maybe get wet. The lunch was homemade on a wood stove by a lovely Costa Rican woman. So good!! It Included coffee and ice cream too. Just book this tour - first rate, well educated and kind folks! We were done by early afternoon. PS Don’t be intimated by the waterfall steps. Take your time, there are rest stops. I had a bad back and managed fine. Pura Vida!
