It used to be the Royal Palace for 24 emperors from Ming and Qing Dynasty. Explore the Hall of Great Supremacy (Taihe Dian), Hall of Middle Harmony (Zhonghe Dian), Hall of Preserving Harmony (Baohedian), Palace of Heavenly Purity, Chuxiu Palace, Turret of The Palace Museum,The Imperial Garden of The Palace Museum and Meridian Gate (Wumen). Please watch the movie of "The last emperor" before your trip to Beijing. you will spend about 2 hours here. Listen countless old stories from your tour guide. Followed an authentic Beijing Style Lunch in Hutong. The old neighborhood of Beijing. Experience rickshaw ride in the narrow Hutong at ease or wander around by foot. Back lakes area of Beijing contains some of the most extensive old hutong neighborhood and the three lakes of Xihai, Houhai and Qianhai. The most hippy area for people enjoy the nightlife.

Stop At: Lama Temple (Yonghegong), No.12 Yonghegong Street, Beixinqiao, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100007 China
Then, visit the Lama Temple in the afternoon. It is the Best preserved lamasery and the most popular Temple in Beijing with over 260 years history. Beautiful courtyards with solemnly atmosphere. A series of beautiful pavilions compress this Mongolian-Tibetan yellow-sect temple, which features an impressive fifty four foot high Buddha cared from one piece of Tibetan sandalwood.

Day 2: Great Wall Mutianyu, Ming Tombs and Stone Animal

Then, visit Stone Animal. This is the sacred way to the site of burial vaults of the emperors with over 500 years history. Emperors are guarded by their soldiers and generals as well as the camels, elephants, unicorn, horses and lions.

Day 3: Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace

Aaron (2 days) and Sunflower (1 day) were our private guides for the 3 day highlights of Beijing. We chose this tour over others mainly because we liked the slightly different itinerary, and we had a wonderful 3 days in Beijing! Aaron is friendly, funny, patient, very knowledgeable and very personable. Sunflower is extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable and is a firecracker powerhouse in navigating queues, and getting tickets to Forbidden City (a lottery) among other things. Aaron and Sunflower added special touches to our days, showing us interesting areas, neighborhoods and sites that were slightly off the beaten path. Both Aaron and Sunflower picked out great spots to eat the first 2 days. (Restaurant choices at the Great Wall were more limited.) Both guides were flexible and totally amenable to slight spontaneous tweaking of the itinerary, such as trying out the subway at my request. Sunflower also arranged my tours in Suzhou. Awesome sites, awesome guides!

You might wonder if her 5-star rating on all her tours sounds too good to be true or if it's worth it...trust it, Sunflower is THAT good!
These have been some of my life's most carefree vacations in a foreign country; she took care of every detail. Do yourself a favor and book the All Inclusive Tour to really get a glimpse of genuine local delicious restaurants picked by her, as well as easing transportation.
If you're up for a more detail:
She speaks excellent English, and she's always on time. Sunflower is fun, charismatic, open-minded, very cultured, patient, honest, and extremely caring. She has set what will now be the highest standard, in my personal experience, for a guide. She takes great pics, too!
We booked almost two months in advance, and she contacted me almost immediately (less than 24 hours) to start managing all bookings and visits. Despite the little contact, she was ready to meet at the agreed place and time of the booking.
We moved around in Didi. We were allowed to set the pace, listen, explore, and enjoy coffee/tea or snacks as desired. She's extremely knowledgeable about China, explaining as much as we desired and always giving a prompt answer to inquiries; on the 3 rare occasions that she didn't have an answer, she got back to us the next day with the information.
She was never in a hurry to wrap up, move to the next place, or end the day. When mentioning a couple of spots we desired to visit at specific times or later in the evening, she didn't hesitate to take us there herself.
She's extremely caring. On one occasion, intending to visit a mall for dinner, not only did she give us all indications and maps to get there, but she took us right to the mall door and then went home. She also cooked some delicious hard-boiled eggs for us to try!
She always provided several suggestions for food, leisure, and exploring the city when requested. She never pushed us to try or visit anything we were not open to or interested in.
She completely changed my misconceptions about China, showing us a more relaxed lifestyle and attitude than I expected. She likes to help people, share her culture, learn about others, and give cooking lessons online! She's very high-spirited :)
Finally, we didn't have a single additional expense while being with her other than the gratuity for our assigned driver on the Great Wall visit (he drove us around for 4 hours, and this was optional) and her own gratuity, which was totally deserved. She even helped us set up a driver to the airport on our last day in Beijing.
I'm probably forgetting more things. I can say, however, that there was nothing to improve that I can recall and that I can't wait to visit some other parts of China with her!

When we were evaluating whether we should get a tour guide for a trip to China, we came across this tour. All the reviews seemed to be so good that we even wondered whether it was too good to be true. It wasn't and having Sunflower as our guide was the best decision we could ever made. She was very knowledgeable, very agreeable, very diligent, had an excellent English, was always on time and was always willing to accommodate our requests. If I go back to China and need a tour guide, I would choose Sunflower again without a doubt. She is basically the best tour guide you could ever expect.

Had an amazing 3 days in Beijing with Sunflower tours with Maggia as a fantastic guide for the 3 days. All parts of the tour extremely well organised with lots of great places to see.
The great Wall was fantastic. Highly recommend Sunflower tours and highly recommend Maggie as a tour guide

My husband and I recently spent 3 days with Sunflower Li. She is everything they write about funny, smart and attentive. She gave us a 3 day itinerary before we arrived, it gave us the ability to look it over and say which activities we weren't interested in and move things around. She is an amazing tour guide very knowledgeable, on the culture and politics of her beautiful city. When we cut one day short because we were just exhausted we made the comment that later that evening we were going to tour the market. She dropped us off at our hotel and then came back at 7pm to take us on a tour of the market. Which we thanked her for by taking her to one of her favorite places to eat DQ. Sun Li makes you feel more like a friend or family member than a paid customer. At the end of our tour it was hard to leave her. I hope she does come to visit us here in Dallas so we can take her out for Chinese food. ;) See you soon Sunflower Li love Dawn and Rick
P.S Sun Li was sucha joy and imagine our suprise when she came to our home for a visit and we were able to take her to her first rodeo, Babe's chicken and an emergancy vet visit. lol I stand by my original review she is a pleasure to be with.

Two friends and I visited Beijing recently and Sunflower Tours was recommended to me before leaving. I wasn't sure that a tour guide would be worth it but once we got there, met Sunflower and experienced Beijing with her I can see that it is WELL WORTH IT! We got to go to more places with greater ease, eat at amazing restaurants, have history and culture explained in depth and all in a flexible, fun way. I would have no hesitation recommending Sunflower to anyone I know and will definitely use her again when I visit next!

We had completed a 3-Day tour. Due to changes in weather, we had to adjust our tour itinerary. Sunflower was very resourceful and fast in making new arrangements to make our whole tour go smoothly. She was very caring and asked us for what we wanted to do. But when we were not sure, she was quick to suggest and plan out for us. Throughout the tour, she took great photos for us, suggesting photo spots for us to stand safely. In all, we felt that she was more a friend than just a tour guide. Thank you Sunflower... look forward to join your tour again!

I am not usually one to write a review, but this company definitely deserves one! Let me start with saying that Sunflower is the guide you want. My family and I were in Beijing for two weeks. During this time, we did many things but my most memorable moments (two years later) is touring Beijing with sunflower. She is a very lively, fun and hilarious to be around. Don't let her fool you, she is a character and will keep you well entertained! She will always keep your best interest in mind and tend to any of your needs. If you are interested in doing anything in Beijing and are unsure, Just have sunflower take you there and it will be an experience you will never forget. She really comes in handy when looking for any thing local such as food, entertainment, transportation and shopping. One worry you might have while looking for a guide is being able to understand their accents. Sunflower is easy to understand, is very quick to respond and will understand whatever you are saying. Lets get to the main reason why many people visit Beijing, the Great Wall of China. This was easily my favorite memory here and having sunflower made this experience so much better! I am a twin and both of us do P90X, we are easily in shape and was ready to hike the Great Wall. Let me tell you, sunflower stayed with both of us the whole hike. Half the family decided to take a breather and rest while my My Twin I and Sunflower hiked for hours. Let me tell you, we all slept well that night. Overall, I have been around the world and have had many tour guides, but no one has ever been as fun and enjoyable as Sunflower is! SUNFLOWER IS THE GUIDE TO GET!
