Really great experience, for those who love sake, and for those who are learning. The museum portion was interesting, and our guide Greg was excellent with his explanations. There was a mini-tasting in the museum, and then we had a short walk to the Kyoto insider tasting room where we had 7 more sake's and some bites. The sake's were diverse, and all were quite good, though in different ways. The food was an unexpected bonus, and it was really good as well. I highly recommend!

Amazing! Totally worth it! Went with my husband and we now understand nihonshu (aka sake) so much more & feel way more confident in buying & ordering our own sakes. We had Greg who made our day. Absolutely passionate & knowledgeable about sake, had so much fun & laughter throughout. Will definitely do the advanced sake tour when we visit Kyoto next

It was such a good experience, as someone who likes sake but only ever tried whatever they sold in the supermarket, it was really interesting learning how it was made, the various types and trying each one to review what we liked. Momoko was a great tour, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about sake. Great experience and would do the advanced session when we come back

It was our first experience with learning about Sake and Kotaro was fantastic. He had a great “slide deck” and went through the entire process and explained the different types of sake based on how they are made, patiently and in enough detail. The museum we started in was representative and it was great to see the different types of rice and the Koji and the yeast and the vats etc. The tasting at a nearby restaurant was also ably led by Kotaro and we did a without and with food comparison which really did change the appreciation of the different sakes. Overall it was 3 hours really well spent. Educational and fun! Cannot recommend it more highly for anyone wishing to learn about sake.
