Best way to see manta rays at night. Very small group and snorkel above and next to rays. Felt bad for scuba divers who were planted below and had to look up.

Not only did we see over a dozen mantas, that got so close they grazed us, we saw a giant pack of spinner dolphins and a mega rainbow on the way to the snorkel spot. The captain and his mate were super thoughtful at every turn and gave us an exceptional experience. Do not hesitate to book with Snorkel Big Island.

Captain Dylan was super understanding especially since we miscalculated and arrived 10 minutes late🙈. He waited for us and made it possible for us to make it. My husband and I are so appreciative of this! The captain even called and texted me to help me find the location. As for the experience, we are speechless!! We loved the smaller group and how they helped us swim to another area that had more manta rays. We ended up seeing like 15+ manta rays! Too many to count! We even heard nearby dolphins!! We also loved learning about these amazing animals, they were so knowledgable and took all the precautions to keep us safe and the animals safe.

This was our 2nd manta ray spice. The first was done by the Sheraton, it was a very good experience, saw about 8 rays. Last night we had a fun 20 minute ride to a site by the airport, our captain, John, was awesome, and we must have seen at least 15-20 rats. John said he’s never seen it like that. It was beyond awesome!!!!!! This will always be a must do when on the Big Island.

Our trip was canceled due to high winds. They contacted us and offered to reschedule or refund our money. Unfortunately we had to accept the refund as we did not have the time available to reschedule.

The mantas came right up to us. They were huge! Captain Dylan and Eli were experts and kept us safe and informed. This should be on everyone’s to do list. In fact my daughter is coming back to do it! And we loved the small intimate group setting

Eli and Dylan provided an amazing experience. While snorkeling, Eli shared so much information about the manta rays and was able to identify them by name! The beautiful, gentle giants came right up to us. We were amazed at how close they got! I loved that it was a small group and we did not have to wait at all to get our wetsuits and hop in the boat. All in all, a wonderful experience and would 10/10 recommend!

So amazing! We chose this tour for the small group size. Captain John and his crew kept us informed before the tour, even giving us photo-guided directions. The shorty wet suits provided were clean and new-feeling. The actual snorkel part of the tour was indescribable! So many manta rays. While you are legally not allowed to touch them, they have no boundaries and definitely touched us. It was awesome to see up to 11 ft wingspan creatures doing barrel rolls to feed, bumping into one another for prime spots. Wow! What an experience.
