After checking in at our office and verifying weights you will be given a thorough safety briefing. You will then be transported to our hangar where you will board the aircraft and meet your pilot.

After taking off, your first scenic landmarks will be the Nawiliwili Harbor and historic Menehune Fishpond. This is a great time to test out the two way communication and chat with your pilot and introduce yourself.
Pass By: Manawaiopuna Falls (Jurassic Park Falls), Eleele, Kauai, HI 96741
After soaring over the Tunnel of Trees in Poipu you will make your way inland and leave all signs of civilization behind you. You will make your way up Hanapepe Valley towards Manawaiopuna Falls, made famous in the opening scene of Jurassic Park.

You will start to get a taste of Kauai's unique geography when flying over Olokele Canyon.

Get a view of the beautiful Ke'e beach, or as locals call it "the end of the road". This is the start to the Na Pali Coast Trail. It is also where your pilot will turn the helicopter so everyone on board can get one last view of the Na Pali Coast.

As you fly down the coast of Kauai's North shore you will see many beaches including popular Hanalei Bay. You will fly up towards the stunning mountains above the sleepy little town that often have many waterfalls, especially after a little rain.

After leaving the North Shore you will fly towards the center of the island to Mt Waialeale, Kauai's dormant shield volcano. It's epic crater is known as the Weeping Wall thanks to it's many waterfalls. The crater sees more than 450 inches of rainfall a year making it one of the wettest spots on Earth.

Jack Harter is the pinnacle of helicopter tours in Kauai. We were originally booked on a Saturday and, due to weather, the flight was cancelled. The team was so helpful in getting us rescheduled and was very communicative to ensure we could fly.
On the day of the rescheduled flight, our pilot, Nick, was amazing. He is so knowledgeable and shared so much information about the history of the island and details of what we were seeing. He took each and every opportunity to take us over the most remote parts of the island, including areas that most tours do not visit! Rather than take the coastal route along Napali, he took us inland and we could see some areas that are covered in clouds and rain 90% of the time.
This was an unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend Jack Harter to anyone looking for a helicopter tour. As first time flyers, we were reassured by the professionalism of the pilots and office team.

We scheduled this tour at the beginning of our week in Kauai as a preview of what was to come. The Jack Harter company was organized, professional, and friendly throughout the entire process. We were especially lucky in that it was a sunny and calm day but the waterfalls were numerous due to rainfall in the days prior to our tour. Our pilot, Nick, was just the icing on the cake. He was so informative and enthusiastic. He even created a sound track to accompany the tour. Nick clearly loves his job.

Preston was a fabulous pilot and tour guide. We saw all of Kauai that we could imagine, with carefully timed ventures up valleys and over seashore and beaches. He flew so smoothly. He was extremely knowledgeable about the valleys and waterfalls as well as the history of the island. The Jack Harter ground crew was excellent, entirely focused on our needs and safety. All in all, a beautiful experience, helping us to understand and appreciate the beauty of Kauai.

Nicolas was a wonderful pilot tour guide. Clearly deeply invested in the experience himself, and his enjoyment was felt and experienced by us. Drawing the attention of each passenger by name, answered questions knowledgeably. Brought in interesting geological info, aerodynamics, botany details, Hollywood history, and other details. Our flight was right after a storm and there was a magical number of waterfalls everywhere.

We had a great tour of Kauai with Jack Harter Helicopters, and specifically with their pilot Nick. My wife and I went with our 8 and 6 year old kids, and there was another couple on board as well. Nick is a very experienced pilot who has lived on the island for more than 20 years. He knows a lot about the things and places you see on the tour and is good at sharing his knowledge in a pleasant way. He clealry loves his home, and it isn't hard to understand why. He also fielded what seemed like 100 questions from my 8 year old, and was very patient and gracious in doing so. Thankfully the other couple on board didn't seem to mind either! We struggled with planning our trip to Hawaii in deciding between trying to see a few islands or spending our time on one island. We ended up settling on island hopping, which meant we were only on Kauai for a couple of days. The helicopter tour was a good way to see a lot of the island in a short amount of time, especially because the most scenic places are in very rugged terrain that can be difficult to access otherwise. Our tour definitely helped us make the most of our time on Kauai, and I am glad we chose Jack Harter Helicopters for our tour.

Amazing helicopter trip to see the Island. The lush green, peaks and valleys, Waimea Canyon and the Napali coast were all incredible.
Eli was our pilot and he delivered a safe and spectacular ride with great narration in flight. The company and staff are professional and clearly safety conscious, they made certain all were properly briefed and safely boarded and secured. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our helicopter tour of the Kauai island! Our pilot Nick is very knowledgeable and patient. The ride is very smooth. It is not bumpy at all. We saw a lot of beautiful sceneries, multiple rainbows! Highly recommend this excursion!
