You'll be met at your hotel by your private guide and head to the base of Corcovado Mountain by car, passing by Rio's beaches and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon on the way.
Stop At: Corcovado - Christ the Redeemer, Estrada Redentor - Alto da Boa Vista Alto da Boa Vista, Parque Nacional da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro 22241-330 Brazil
Reaching the Cosme Velho district, you'll take a unique Swiss cogwheel train that climbs the mountain from its base to nearly the summit. The very top is reached by climbing a flight of stairs to arrive at the iconic Christ the Redeemer Statue. The view, from this vantage point, with the surrounding Tijuca National Forest spreading below and a circle of mountains closing the horizon at the very back of the Guanabara bay is truly spectacular. After some time to walk around and take photos, we make the way back down.

We then head towards to the bohemian Santa Teresa neighborhood, home to a collection of local boutiques and galleries. The charming area of Santa Teresa also features many trendy bars and restaurants offering several options of snacks and dishes, not to mention its breathtaking views. Don’t miss out on it!

From Santa Teresa to Lapa, there is the famous Selaron steps, a stairway decorated with colorful tiles. Known for its energetic bohemian vibe, “Lapa” is the most buzzing area in town day and nighttime.

Have you ever heard of the Lapa neighborhood? If not, it should! It's very easy to know that you've arrived in Lapa. There is a famous monument that is the official image of Lapa, the large white arches aqueduct postcard of Rio.
Stop At: Centro, Rio de Janeiro - State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Walk through Rio’s downtown through some of the coolest touristic areas catching sights and culture until Mauá square. The walk passes by historic attractions, lots of bars and restaurants, arriving at Mauá square where all tribes and people get together.

See a different side of Rio in its up-and-coming Porto Maravilha area symbol of the renewed Rio after the Olympics.

Beautiful building and preserved architecture. It's one of the most important Brazilian theaters.
Stop At: Catedral Metropolitana de São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, Av. República do Chile, 245 - Centro, Rio de Janeiro - RJ, 20031-170, Brazil
The Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro stands out among the buildings in the Center of the city. Its unique architecture catches the attention of everyone passing by and surprises those who visit it! Its appearance and history are unconventional and make it one of the most curious spots in the wonderful city!

Pass By: Sambodromo da Marques de Sapucai, Rua Marques de Sapucai, Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro 202220006 Brazil
The Sambodrome is the home to the Rio Carnival, where the parades take place during three nights every year, a concrete structure built specifically for the Carnival. It's an avenue with bleachers on both sides divided into sectors.

Admire the gorgeous cutting-edge museum structure, designed by famous architect Santiago Calatrava.

The most important Brazilian football temple. Scenery of important Brazilian football classic and facts, like hosting the final matches for the 1950 and 2014 football World Cup and the Olympics final football match in 2014.

Pass By: Ipanema Beach, Avenida Vieira Souto - Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro 22420-002 Brazil
Beach that inspired the composition of the famous song "Ipanema Girl”. Beautiful beach that deserves all the fame and admiration.
Stop At: Sugarloaf Mountain - Urca, Rio de Janeiro - State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
We will then go up the Sugarloaf Mountain.
A series of two cable cars will take you to the top of Sugar Loaf. At the top, again some of the most breathtaking views of Rio, this time from a different vantage point than at Corcovado.
After that, tourists may want to enjoy lunch at a very nice “all-you-can-eat buffet” steakhouse restaurant (not included).

We had a fantastic day with Newton because of a surprise layover in Rio de Janeiro. We wanted to avoid the crowds so he took us to the forest and we finished the day on the beaches.

Camila did a fantastic describing various sites and places of interest, commenting in depth on the history of the site but or Rio and Brazil generally, which was highly insightful. She also took us to neighborhoods that were truly local in nature. This tour is jam packed with sites of interest - Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf, the cathedral, the football stadium, the Olympic mural, the tile steps, and more. It was a fabulous day. Highly recommended.

This was the best city tour with the best guide- Flavio. His knowledge of the city and its history was incredible, and he made it so interesting to learn about. It is 100% worth having a tour guide and driver to get you to each place, as they got us through the lines much quicker as well as being super informative about each place. We had a private tour so got to the Selaron steps early and we had the whole place to ourselves which was fantastic. We then went to Christ the Redeemer, then Sugarloaf mountain. I would recommend starting the day early to avoid the crowds, as when we were leaving Christ the Redeemer it got ridiculously busy. I would highly recommend booking with Gregtur tours- and request Flavio as your guide if you can.

Our tour guide, Antonio, was incredible! He customized our trip to make sure we got to all of our top sites we wanted to see, including Cristo, Sugarloaf, Ipanema, Cocoacabana, Celeron Steps and a quick photo op at the futbol stadium. He even brought us to an amazing Brazilian BBQ steakhouse (a little pricey). Ticket prices to Cristo and Sugarloaf are not included in the tour price, but a must see. It was really great that Antonio had a driver so we didn't have to waste time finding parking/ walking to the car. Everything was perfectly timed, and we got to see everything we hoped for in Rio during our 12 hour layover. He even picked us up from the airport and dropped us off on time for our flight to Sao Paulo. Book this tour!

We knew this tour from the suggestion of Grand Hyatt Hotel Sao Paulo. We are a group of 4 people that came for the conference in Sao Paulo and we have only one day keft to visit Rio De Janeiro. We cannot buy flight tickets as it is over our budget so the concierge suggested this company to us with a private tour plan.
We are really happy with the coordinated guy, Osvaldo, who communicated with us for the suitable car and our agenda, the driver, Bruno, who was very polite, helpful and kind. Especially, our local guide, Camila, who is being such a great guide. We really enjoyed the way she brought the city’s past to life with her stories. We knew everything of Rio de Janeiro in 17 hrs 😁😁 Short couse but fruitful👏👏

Camila Feher was a great guide. Friendly, funny, knowledgable with a true love for her city. The best tour guide we ever had. Our group spoke Spanish and English and her mastery of those two languages was great. She also taught us some portugués. Marco the driver provided great service. Funny and entertaining - dropping us off in front of each sight and quickly picking us up once we were ready to move on. A day spent with Camila and Marco will be a treat for any group looking to take in all rio has to offer. We saw all the top sights and learned a lot. A truly enjoyable experience.
