This address is the location of our main office and is where the tour begins. (Map error - ZIP CODE is 28202) We are located ALL THE WAY INSIDE the ONE SOUTH AT THE PLAZA building at 101 S. Tryon St. (Same building as THE OMNI HOTEL.) Up two short flights of stairs to the far left of Walgreens and Which Wich (NOT up the escalator).

Pass By: Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, 420 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202-1937
We view the OUTSIDE of the museums on S. Tryon St.
Stop At: Mint Museum Uptown, 500 S Tryon St Levine Center for the Arts, Charlotte, NC 28202-1811
We stop in the area where our major Uptown museums are located.
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: Fourth Ward Park, 301 N Poplar St Central Park Region, Charlotte, NC 28202-1617
We ride through the Fourth Ward Park after viewing some the 18th/19th Century architecture.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: The Green, 425 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28202-2791
We ride through this quirky and popular park right at the end of the tour.
Duration: 5 minutes

MUST BE ON TIME FOR THIS TOUR! Arrive 30-45 min. before start time for training!!!
Minimum suggested age is 12 years old, but MUST weigh at least 100 lbs.

For participants under 18, they must be with a parent or responsible party 21 yrs or older and have a signed waiver from a parent
Minimum weight is 100lbs so the Segway computer can respond to your movement.

Dress code: Ideally wear comfortable closed toe shoes (though not required), weather appropriate layers, and no hats under helmets. Gloves recommended on cold days

Had a fun time with our tour guide Isaiah. He made sure everyone in our group was comfortable with riding the segways.
He was very knowledgeable about the history of Charlotte and loved his theatrics while he was telling the stories.
Received several communications prior to our tour about directions, time and other reminders.
I would highly recommend Charlotte NC Tours.

Had a fantastic Segway tour of Charlotte! The experience was great from beginning to end! Carol, the business owner, was friendly, engaging, and provided a wealth of information that facilitated getting to the tour location, parking, etc. She then provided us with an overview of how to ride safely and what the tour would entail. From there, she and Isaiah, our tour guide, provided us with training on how to ride the Segway. They made us feel confident and comfortable! The tour itself was excellent! Isaiah led us safely through the city. He has a wealth of knowledge and provided us with a great deal of information about Charlotte's history and its evolution over time to the great city it has become! And the fun Segway ride was an absolute bonus! Thank you, Carol and Isaiah, for a wonderful experience! You made my first trip to uptown Charlotte an unforgettable one!

We had a fantastic time with Rod who put our minds at ease despite us having never been on a Segway. He couldn’t have been a better tour guide too with great knowledge of the area. He’s lived in beautiful Charlotte for 45 years and so also knew a lot of local residents. A few restaurant recommendations included too. Only downside was that a couple on the tour from the US were late to arrive despite a clear start time. Rod dealt with it fantastically but there is no reason to be late especially when we’d come from the UK and managed it!

Segway tours are my favorite! But this one was particularly good. We had Rod for a tour guide. He was so patient and experienced at giving us the best tour ever. We even had somebody on the tour that wasn't comfortable on a Segway, he was able to put one hand on her unit and steer her as she went with us the whole way.

We were so fortunate to have Isaiah as our guide. His energy and knowledge was amazing. We learned so much and enjoyed the tour immensely. HIghly recommend the experience!

We had a wonderful time on our tour with Rod! After a short safety video and practice maneuvering our Segways, we were on our way!
Rod was entertaining and informative. He shared his knowledge of Charlotte as well as some fun personal stories.
We felt prepared for our trip around Uptown and always felt safe.
I live in Charlotte and anytime I have visitors from out of town we will try to schedule a tour with Rod and Charlotte NC tours!

The Segways were so much fun! As first timers, we found it easy to negotiate the city following James! The historical tour of the city, especially the homes in the 2nd Ward, was our favorite part.

Awesome way to explore uptown Charlotte. Well organized briefing and practice before we headed out. Rod was a great guide full of all kinds of local history and cultural tidbits. Very responsive to the group. Such fun to see things while on your own personal people mover!!
