Itinerary

In this tour you'll experience our regenerative, Alaskan homestead with our lovely REINDEER, boisterous livestock guardian dogs, cute bunnies, and our artistic community cabin.

You'll likely be greeted at your vehicle by our livestock guardian dogs, Zeke and Hugo, who will be happy to escort you to the cabin to start the tour, in exchange for a some pets and snuggles.

There'll be a short introduction to the history of our property the story of how we got here. We'll then head outside to meet our incredible reindeer - Sophie, Phoebe, and Lars, who will grace our journey as we wind through our beautiful homestead and private nature trails, learning all about foraging in this unique ecosystem dubbed the boreal forest.

We'll then take it down a few notches by meeting and holding (if you wish) one of our cute little bunnies. Bunny therapy is proven to help decrease stress, anxiety, depression, and blood pressure, and generally bring a big smile to just about anyone's face!

We’ll conclude our tour back in the cabin where we'll nibble on a few of our favorite homesteading snacks and drink tea made from the plants we just experienced.

What a travel gem. I’m so glad we did this farm tour with reindeer walk. Our guide was amazing, the animals mind-blowingly cute, the food delicious, and the format perfect. Suitable for all ages and nearly all mobilities. Would absolutely recommend this!

It was wonderful to experience the Alaska experience on a reindeer farm. We got to enjoy a heart warm welcome into a log cabin, saunter in the woods with Phoebe (reindeer) leading our way, learn about natures edible plants, and eat some yummy homemade treats. This is a tour to not be missed!!! Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

I had an awesome time with Graham and the reindeer! Relaxing walk through the forest learning about plants to make teas with, berries to eat and if the reindeer don’t eat the mushrooms neither will I!! Lol. Fantastic nibbles at the end too!

What a treat! We saw "the Alaskan Cistene Chapel," enjoyed a slide show of the beginning, got to know the owner, walked the forest with the owner and one of his reindeer (on a lead), saw the reindeer foraging naturally and eating things we didn't know they ate, and were accompanied by the scouting dog. We learned lots about edible forest treats and homesteading and ended with delicious treats from nature. Truly a trip worthwhile!

Graham did a great job with all the forest has to offer. We had an amazing time with Pheobe, the reindeer! She was awesome! She let us pet her and my son got to lead her through some of our walk. The dried pineapple we had afterwards was way better than what's in stores! Great job all around!
