Step off the edge of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs and into a vertical world! As you wait in anticipation to hear your name being called for your turn – stand back and enjoy the uninterrupted views of Brisbane and watch the city cats, boats and kayakers skim across the meandering river!
Let our experienced instructor’s help you conquer your fears and guide you safely over the edge while you experience the extreme rush of abseiling. With trust overcoming natural instinct, you will be abseiling down the 20 metre high cliffs in no time…
Riverlife abseiling sessions are guided by qualified and experienced instructors. No experience is necessary as each session includes full instruction, a safety briefing and equipment. Participants must be at least 8 years of age and wear and use the safety equipment provided by Riverlife. Safety equipment includes a helmet, harness, rope and gloves.

This was our family's Christmas present. I bought an abseiling experience for my partner and our three children. While our instructor was lovely, due to the group being too big (10 people), we were only able to descent once which was very disappointing. It wasn't value for money. The groups should be halved or there should be two instructors per group. Two descents would have made the price paid fair, but not one.

Really enjoyed the experience, our instructor Will, was amazing keeping everyone calm and relaxed he was really professional, the people at the check-in were really helpful and friendly

Highly recommend to everyone. Best experience, from the front desk customer service, to the instructor. Very helpful, informative and patient especially since a few in the group were doing it for the first time. But the instructor made it easy for us, and we went back to do a 2nd round. Everyone was confident by that time. Beautiful view of the city, which you don't see often.

I really want to thanks Oscar my instructor who really motivate me and make me comfortable throughout the session. It was my first time and Oscar was there to guide me when ever I needed. I really loved it and I will be doing again. Oscar you are the best. Must appreciate

Aged in our sixties along with younger daughter in laws, our family group had an exceptional twilight abseil but can definitely say that without the encouragement and instruction from our tour guide I probably wouldn't have gone over the cliff. Totally recommend this for testing your self resolve. PS must make mention of the office window view.. terrific. Thank you Team Riverlife Adventure you ROCK. 😆

My 16 yr son& 3 buddies went on the abseiling adventure. Fantastic instructors ,views were awesome, attention to safety. They had a fantastic time. Thanks again Riverlife team .

Will was an awesome guide. He encouraged us to enjoy the view and guided us with quiet friendly confidence. The event was exceptionally well organised and on time. The location was perfect, with opportunities for lunch nearby afterwards. Highly recommend!

A challenge for us, with an 11 and 14 year old and me being an old girl myself. My husband went first over the edge of the cliff and was a star. Our instructor Blake was an absolute gem, so calm and truly wonderful at talking us through what we needed to do. Blake was very supportive and encouraging, and he helped to make our experience happen as well as it did. My husband did a second trip over the edge and was already looking like a professional. It was so good of Blake to let him go again so that I also had the opportunity to see someone from my own family, watching from on the ground below.
