A tour is just a tour, but with the right tour guide, you’re immersed into the entire experience. Kimon was the quintessential tour guide at the Acropolis. He was super knowledgeable, packed with historical and informative facts, friendly and genuinely made the experience a lot of fun. He seemed to love being our tour guide and I would say pretty much everyone in our group loved having him as our guide. My wife and I are so happy that we did this tour. Thank you Kimon and the Athens Walks Company!

Kimon was a fantastic guide - very knowledgeable and added some personal touches which made it all the more interesting. He was also happy to give us recommendations on other things to do in Athens.

Great tour guide, very knowledgeable and personable. Good to go earlier in the day to beat the heat. The views can’t be missed!

Loved the tour as we got a lot of history and gained knowledge and insight about the culture. Our tour guide was good and always kept track of us all when it was crowded. She gave us many breaks going uphill as many of us were older and slower. It was great to go up and see everything up close.

Reliving ancient history was memorable. How the structure was able to withstand nature and still stand tall. .

The whole experience was quite overwhelming. What made it worth the while was the explanation and the stories told by our guide She was very interesting. Unfortunately I have forgotten her name

The actual content of the experience was extremely good, Zeta was an excellent guide and very personable. However, we had an email beforehand requesting that we arrive between 8 and 8.30am for a 9am booking and we had a 35 minute walk from our hotel to the meeting place so had to eat breakfast and set off earlier than we had planned. Also, when we made the booking we were under the impression that the tour would be 2.5 to 3 hours in total. The actual time we were part of the tour was around 1.5 hours with the option to continue to the Acropolis Museum for an additional £15 per person entry and £20 per person for the guide. I have done a tour like this in Rome and the guide was with us for more than 3.5 hours for a similar cost so whilst Zeta was a great guide I don't think the tour was good value for what we paid.

Never had the tour as the website & actual touring company have conflicting information as to date & times. I booked for a 1:00 p for 5/15. The tour company sends confusing email that confirms for 5:30 on 5/14. Impossible for date & time when the booking was made after 9 P on 5/14, which is after the touring company's stated time?????? I was my money back!!!!!

We went on this tour on May 13, 2024 at 8:00 am. This is important because when we got to the gate to enter the Acropolis, there was a short line. The sun was shining bright and was in the low 70s. As we walked up the hill, there were bigger crowds and it was getting hotter. By the end of pure tour the line to get in was at least 100 people deep. I can’t imagine what it’s like in the “busy” season. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I’m glad I did the tour instead of going on our own. I recommend this tour - first thing in the morning! Beat the heat and the crowd. Pam from Columbus, OH
