This is a totally fun way to spend the afternoon! Rachel drives the boat, spots the wildlife, and gives a great history/geography commentary. My family have become or were born Canadians and they loved it, especially the little blue penguins swimming by. Cyclists and cruise ship passengers have discovered Port to Port BUT I want to recommend it to Dunners residents sitting at home. Just get out and do it! Otago Harbour is totally special and this is a great way to see it up close and love where you live.

We had a fantastic time on our cruise of the harbour and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to spot many birds and other wildlife. Rachel was a wonderful guide and narrator. The small size of the ship helped ensure a more personal experience. Thank you, Rachel!

My husband and I were biking the Otago peninsula circuit which was a great experience and the Port to Port link provided by Rachel made it even better. The commentary was superb and her skipper skills admired.

I would highly recommend this trip to both locals and tourists Rachel’s extensive knowledge of the harbour wildlife , geography and history was clear in her commentary throughout the 2 hours . The boat is small which meant we could get up close to the bird life and seals but the highlight was getting to see two Hector Dolphins up close . We were a party of 6 …..4 locals and 2 Japanese friends . Rachel even had a wildlife identification sheet in Japanese and we all got to take a sheet home with the wildlife we had seen ticked on it . Thank you Rachel for a awesome trip .

A fabulous afternoon out. Rachel and Ashley were great hosts and we were lucky enough to see 16 different animals and birds. The albatrosses’ aerial displays were entertaining and the sea lions didn’t disappoint.

Rachel made the tour perfect. She has a keen eye for spotting wildlife. And then, an expert ability at bringing the boat to the best angles for viewing. She also provided high quality binoculars. This was my first tour through Viator and it was outstanding. Thank you Rachel!!!

Our tour with Rachel was amazing! She was incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable. We were able to see many of the wildlife in the Dunedin area and whenever we spotted another animal in the water she would try to get as close as possible. Highly recommend!

Fantastic trip! Rachel was amazing at spotting and identifying the wildlife! Not only did we see Albatrosses flying remarkably close to the boat, plus viewing so many other birds, but we also saw sea lions and seals that were so camouflaged we'd never have found them on our own even with the binoculars provided. She also took us over for a close view of a seal popping up in the water and eating an octopus! Absolutely wonderful! We weren't lucky enough to see penguins and hadn't expected to this time of year. Just wish she'd think about charging more so she could have a smaller crowd to improve the view in the open part of the boat. Still, I highly recommend this excursion! A highlight of our trip to NZ.
