Your package concludes with a scenic, wind-whipped ride across San Francisco Bay to Alcatraz Island, aka ‘The Rock.’ You’ll have breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline as you approach your destination. In the past hundred years or so, Alcatraz has gone from military prison to maximum-security penitentiary to National Park Service site. You can tour the cells that once held America’s most notorious prisoners, including Al ‘Scarface’ Capone. The roughly 2.5 hour tour will give you a captivating overview of the intriguing, and scary, history of this little island on the bay. Your tour ends with your ferry ride back to Alcatraz Landing.

Madame Tussauds vouchers are untimed and are valid for up to two weeks from selected visit date.
Madame Tussauds experience is approximately 1 hour.
Alcatraz tickets are for the time and date selected and may not be changed. Alcatraz tours leave from Pier 33. You must arrive at Pier 33 at least 15 minutes prior to your boarding time.
For security purposes, a government issued photo ID is required for all guests to board the Alcatraz ferry.
All traveler names must be submitted at the time of booking.
Alcatraz audio tour is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Mandarin, Portuguese and Korean.
You may leave Alcatraz Island at any time; ferries depart every 30 to 40 minutes.
Madame Tussauds is open 11 am - 6 pm Thursday through Monday, closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing time.

We loved our tour of Alcatraz. We spent a lot of time there. Our time to get on the boat was 1 PM but we were able to get on earlier. I think we were there around 11:30 and they let us on the boat then. Make sure to go to the ticket booth and use your vouchers from, this app to get your actual tickets and bring your drivers license with you.
We did not end up going to the wax museum. We spent a lot of time on the island of Alcatraz, and we retired and just wanted to go back to our hotel and have a meal.
We would highly recommend this Alcatraz tour. It was a lot of fun and very informative.

The fact that the actual prison is at the top of the island and there were escape attempts was wild.

I dont recommend this package.we did not able to.hop.on the cruise as scheduled because we are not on the list ,they advice as to contact the 3rd party but nobody answered.it is not a coincidence because we are 8 person disappointed on this package with same issue ,better directly get ticket from alcatraz website..its like we are scammed.

Although the guides were knowledgeable and shared a lot of additional information about Alcatraz, I enjoyed the audio guide tremendously that I could pause where I felt the need to.

My husband had never been to Alcatraz so we we’re excited to tour the facility. The self guided audio tour was great. The only issue we had as senior citizens was the walk up to the cell block. After several rest breaks we made it and enjoyed the tour.

If you missed getting your Alcatraz tickets early on and they are no tickets available on the official website this is the cheapest combo ticket you will find. Alcatraz is a must see in San Francisco. Madame Tussauds on the other hand is ok. In my opinion, it kind of lost its spirit with all the additional venues next to the oroginal in London.

The trip to Alcatraz was well organized from the ferry ride to the tour. Going back in history listening to the former correctional officers and inmates share their stories from their time at Alcatraz was interesting.

Was a smooth transition from Pier to Alcatraz. We learned a lot and the highlight for us was learning about the Indigenous Occupation in 1969.

Alcatraz was an amazing tour. A lot of walking and hills but worth it. They do have cart for those who have medical issues. Beautiful views and amazing history
