The monuments were beautiful and interesting , but we were disappointed in our tour guide, Clara. Her tour was half information and half comedy routine. If she had spent less time chatting perhaps we would have gotten more information on and appreciation for the sites.

Such a lovely city, but be aware if you wish to visit Alcazar and the Cathedral you need to book in advance so unfortunately we missed out on visiting these attractions.

1001 disjointed facts - no overview, no big picture. Boring and forgettable - Not really an enjoyable way to enjoy a beautiful church, or a city. Spanish version of English- English delivered in rapid machine gun bursts. Overall I would not recommend this tour in its current format. Also getting a little tired of every city tour consisting entirely of a church tour - will rethink Viator tours going forward.

Both the Alcázar and the cathedral are breathtaking. The alcázar is the oldest royal palace in Europe that is still actively used as a residence by the royal family. It was originally a Moorish palace before the recon quest of Seville by the Christians. Likewise, the cathedral was originally a mosque. It had the highest minaret in the world. Since the person doing the call to prayer had to climb it 5 times a day, the way up to the top was built as a ramp so that he could ride a donkey all the way up. After the re-conquest, the mosque was converted to a cathedral, and the minaret into a bell tower.

The guide was knowledgeable and fun. The tour was to get a flavour rather than lots of historical facts. The skip the queue is well worth it!
