This was an excellent way to see lots of different beaches and coastlines and caves---from land! It would have been nearly impossible to explore all these places on our own. It gave us so many good views and an excellent overview to decide where we wanted to spend more time. We learned a lot, had an excellent time, and even enjoyed some nice refreshments with our guide, Jorge, who is a blast! This was a great adventure for me (40s) and my mom (70s).

We booked the trip via a lady in the shopping centre in Albufeira by Pizzahut. She was very helpful with weather forecasts as the weather was awful most days. We booked the caves & coastline tour at 26 euro each. We got a free coach from our hotel (Paraiso de Albufeira) and got to the marina. We had 15% off the menu at their cafe & the actual boat was a catamaran. It was excellent, our tour guide was a very chatty & helpful man. Even though the weather was sometimes cloudy we still saw the sun light coming in through the hole of Benagil caves. The wind was bitter, so wrap up! We were lucky enough to see lots of dolphins swimming next to us on our return, even though we had not paid for the dolphin experience trip!

Went out on a jet boat about 8 miles and spent the next 30 minutes watching the bottle nose dolphins right next to the boat. Amazing to see them in their natural environment. Came back to the coastline and went into caves and coves and saw the Portuguese coastline up close. Drinks and snacks on board and a great commentary from one of the crew. Well worth the €35 for 2 hours. I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

What a wonderful place to visit or live. My son was seconded there to manage a construction project at a mine. He chose Albufeira to live in. It is a fun place, partying from dusk to dawn but if you aren't in to it just go home to your wonderful ocean view condo. That's what we did last week. We had the time of our life partying on the strip and then retiring to sublime restfullness. We also visited Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Sagres and Vermoura. What fun places. All the street restaurants, bistros and bars are open until 3 am if not longer. We ate al fresco most of the time and only inside 3 times in 18 days. You can get an actual full meal in Portugal whereas in Seville where we visited for two days, we only got tapas. I recommend the Algarve to anyone who wants to balance a lot of eating and drinking with constant walking. What a way to enjoy without coming back a balloon.
