Engaging and beautiful evening. The experience and island was gorgeous. The catamaran ride was fun and had its own shows as well. Generously poured and crafted open bar

The show was awesome, but the instructions given after arriving to the port weren't clear. We got on a boat with about 200 people. They did not tell us our boat number which made it difficult to get to dinner after the show. I will give a quick run down so that you're not as lost and confused. When you get to the location where the port is you have to pay the port fee. Then go to the opposite side of the place to stand in line to checkin. After checkin you wait for them to call the number on your receipt. You get up go through the metal detectors and then you get on the boat. Boat ride is fine. Just crowded. Once we arrived and got off the boat it was kinda chaotic how they seat you. After the show they call you by boat. Make sure to ask before you leave the port or boat what your boat number is. They Then send you to one of the restaurants for dinner. Dinner is a buffet no matter where you go.

Everything in PV is quoted in Mexican dollar. Nowhere does it say this is 179.00 US in the add. Don't forget the tips are required before the night is over.

This experience was absolutely worth every penny. Before going into the review, note there is a port fee per person that needs to be paid before going to the Vallarta adventure office. It’s cash only. Now for the good part. The ferry ride over was about 45min maybe longer and had drinks flowing. The staff walked around with pitchers to refill drinks. They also had music playing and performed. So please do yourself the favor and sit on the bottom level of the boat. All the entertainment is seen there. Once arriving on the beach we headed to dinner and enjoyed a buffet. Followed by the show. Only negative was the benches we had to sit on during the show. I’m lucky to be short and just leaned against the high bench instead of sitting on it. Rhythms of the night was a beautifully performed show and had some great interactive moments with the MC and crowd. The entire event was great!

I was apprehensive about going on this trip and feeling trapped somewhere for hours. However, me and my group throughly enjoyed the 6-hour tour! Boat 3 had a great crew. They provided excellent service, safety and the show they performed on the way back was so much fun! Great work, Captain and crew! The Alma experience was … wow! The facilities were so beautiful. Greeted by fun characters. Mermaid! Cheetah! Owl! Praying mantis! Lots of candles lit the pathways. It was like a luxe Survivor, but with food and bathrooms. The food was amazing too! Excellent staff. Note: our trip was food AFTER the hour long show, so we didn’t eat until around 8:45. Eat before you arrive!! Also, there are some short, but steep paths. Consider leaving your heels at home and wear flats. The show was incredible!! Fire dancers, contortionists, aerial acts, trampoliners, wow, just wow! Live music and great production. Note: you are sitting on cushioned backless benches. Check it out!

This activity was recommended to us by a travel blogger. We have booked activities with Adventures Vallarta in the past and have had good experiences. They are good at what they do. We booked Rhythms of the Night as a nice activity for something to do at night. We were staying in Nuevo Vallarta and purposely booked the marina port that was closer to where we were staying. The day of the activity, we were directed to check in at the marina closer to downtown Puerto Vallarta. This required a 40 minute drive instead of 10 minutes. That was the only thing we found wrong with this activity...otherwise, we would have given it 5 stars. I was annoyed by the longer and more stressful drive after having booked for a closer location. The boat takes you to Las Caletas. This is a beach facility that is operated by Adventures Vallarta. We have visited Las Caletas on another activity and it's a very nice facility. The boat ride was fine with lots of drinks and the staff is very entertaining on the trip over to the show. The dinner was buffet style and was very good. There was a wide selection of food and we were satisfied. It's not gourmet, but it was well prepared and tasted good. The show is excellent. We were very entertained and left feeling like we had gotten what we paid for. The staff even continued to feed us drinks and entertain everyone on the boat as we returned to the port. This is a great activity and I highly recommend it.

Vallarta Adventures burned me for $189 to do an introductory scuba dive at las caletas. The agency happily sold me the package and then when we were a half hour out handed us a questionnaire with questions such as are you over 45? Do you have asthma? None of these questions were asked when I purchased the excursion. None! I filed a report but they could care less. Don’t worry I’ll be hitting up ALL of the review sites about Vallarta Adventures. Of course Vallarta Adventures blamed it on Vidanta and Vidanta blamed it on Vallarta Adventures. What’s the big deal tho right? I mean we just spent another $40,000 dollars at Vidanta only to get more screwed over by Vallarta Adventures.

Live & learn: first tip: Pay online NOT at the place you are staying! We stayed at Paradise Village resort & was charged $425.82 for three adults ($141.94 each). Took taxi, another ten dollars. Confusion on where to enter as there’s more than one place. Walk in, similar to a jungle feel. Go inside to info desk, show them our receipt from resort, was told we NOW have to pay $4.00 each for dock fee AND $20.00 and some change each for access fee, which is not explained! That bill was $70.75 for the three of us. So do the math! $496.57. We did not purchase drink bracelets at $10.00 each, & didn’t need to as drinks were flowing freely on the boat back n forth & during the BUFFET. But we didn’t drink, not really drinkers. Second tip: if you think you might get sea sick, you will! They do not go along the coast as the darn sales lady at resort stated. It is a large catamaran. Next tip: get there early. Do not listen to sales lady at resort, thank goodness we didn’t, who says fifteen to thirty mins is plenty of time to leave resort, & get there for loading. Wrong! You are assigned a number on your ticket, which is how you board the boat AFTER VIPs. We were seated (it’s like a snack bar area, & I did spend $5.00 on a bag of Cheetos) at a table right by entry to dock & people stared standing in front of us, yes some were down right rude. At least I got a smile when it was announced to look at the number in your ticket & ours were very low numbers & those standing had to make way for us to walk past them! VIPs get to sit down close to stage for the show. On this tour, the show was first. And no, you can’t compare it to cirque du soleil, again, wrongly stated by sales lady at resort. Bench seating, no backs, a tad uncomfortable after awhile. Show was ok. I enjoyed the music. We left when we thought it was finished due to having to go to bathroom, which they were a little strict about, thought we were trying to eat early. Another tip: definitely wear flat shoes. There are roots here & there you will stumble on & of course it’s all sand everywhere. It was dark, candles everywhere, but what lighting there was, was very dim. Buffet was presented nicely, but still, dark to see the food. I crunched something not sure what it was in a salad, ouch. There was a fish dish, shrimp dish, beef & chicken. With side dishes & salads & tiny pastries mostly chocolate cake. We enjoyed the food, all seasoned nicely. Only one hour to eat then back to the boat. The staff on the boat, boat number 6, put on a skit on the way back. For you older than 60 folks, just have to grin & bare the music playing on the boat! Staff was all very nice. Helped me to bathroom, (absolutely had to go! After all it is an hour long ride) which was a very nice gesture as I was a tiny bit sick & not steady on my feet (just not cut out to ride on a boat). To sum it up: staff nice, food good, show good. Nice night out during vacation. Not cheap!
