Itinerary
Mount a horse and spend your morning riding with view of the Mount Isabel de Torres. Pass through local villages and lush plantations as you follow your guide through the countryside. Puerto Plata is home to truly gorgeous terrain with many majestic sugarcane fields. Arrive at the horse ranch, where the trained staff perfectly matches your abilities with an amiable horse companion. Partake in an entertaining safety briefing and an introductory lesson, where you learn the appropriate basics and precautions to get your horseback journey started. After a few Minutes of trails we ride to get Bergantin Beach where you will spend most of the time riding along and after an hour and a half, we let the horses take some rest.

or 45 minutes after the Ship has docked at the Port.
After booking, the customer will receive a separate email from the supplier with detailed informations about the meeting point.

We decided to book a separate excursion from our ship and found Anthonyinfotours. Not sure about the pictures people put up or if they have many other groups but our trip did not look like this. We arrived to be picked up in a vehicle with a cracked windshield, not a great representation of a reputable company - old and didn't start on first tries...Arriving at location of horses was sketchy. I did read other reviews and thought they were being picky, but actually they were right. It was they raining season, large ponds of water were on the trail we took to the beach not a problem, the horses did a great job of knowing where to go and were well trained - Paparazzi walked along (and ran) to get pictures, which they try to sell. You need Whatzup to have them sent to you - they were phone pictures - you can get your own shots while you are walking because Jerry will not let you gallop or trot. We arrived at the beach and they could just do so much more to upgrade our experience - clean up the beach.
The trip was just ok. We had set our expectations low and they accommodated.

This was the most amazing experience I have had in a long time. I was not sure at first as there was a lot of mud, but we got to the beach and it was so amazing. I loved that we were the only ones on the tour and not with a large group. We could ask questions from our tour guide who was also amazing. I will be back with more of my family as soon as I can so they can also experience. I normally don’t do reviews but this was worth the effort and every penny we spent on it.

Had a great time horseback riding on the beach and going through the trails. A wonderful experience to be had while on vacation.

What a great time! Very LONG horseback ride on the beach and through nature. Much longer than others. Very much worth the money. Horses were extremely well trained for beginners as well as responsive for more experienced riders. Great fun all around! Highly recommended!!

It was an experience. We started the tour by hopping on the horses with no platform. The tour guides were young and did their job in taking us through on a dirt road and then on the beach. We rode to a hut on the beach for drinks and then were swarmed by men trying to sell jewelry out of suitcases. We were not provided with helmets while another horse tour rode by with them on. I felt bad for our horses. They were thin and my husband’s horse had an abrasion under his breast collar that was rubbing raw. My horse seemed lethargic and never picked his head up. The boys worked hard to make the experience enjoyable by taking pictures. I hope the horses will be taken better care of in the future.

This was a great experience. We own horses and know good horses when we ride one. All of our horses were fast walking, did what you asked without a fuss. I would trust these horses with young children or inexperienced riders. The horses will take care of their rider. The guides were great, too. Making sure that we had everything we needed. With horse experience we were allowed to lope.our horses along the beach. It was a blast for the whole family. We also got to stop on the beach and my young girls played in the water and we got a cold drink and a nice rest, before heading back to the barn. We would recommend this adventure to anyone!

My girlfriend's very first time on a horse. She got to walk and trot with a very gentle horse. Walking on the beach and trails through the countryside, walking though puddles and on the thick sand was a great experience!

This was a really fun experience. Gorgeous beach and trails, helpful guides. Great price and accommodation time of pick up and drop off at port.
Some improvement is needed for the directions where the pick-up location is once the guest comes through the port entrance.

The scenery on the beach was beautiful. But that’s about all that was good. The horses were thin. There was a photographer who took pictures. He never smiled and the pictures were subpar and very expensive. Very disappointed but made the best of it.

Was a pretty nice ride horses were so thin … Enjoyed it have been on way better rides in Costa Rica , most annoying thing was these guys take pictures the whole time and then at the end of it they want you to pay 3000 Dominican dollars for them to send you all the pictures on WhatsApp we took our own pictures. We really didn’t want their pictures but we told them we would pay 2000 we really did not want them. We did it as a favour to them but they were so pushy about it. So annoying.
