I only booked this after hearing about it from another traveller, but it was actually an amazing experience. The boat trip through lotus fields was an especially great experience and I think it's a must do if visiting Siem Reap! The follow up of the various lotus craft activities was fun and very informative. The hosts at all parts of the tour were great.

A few weeks ago, we went on this amazing one day trip.
First, we took a boat ride through the lotus fields. We stopped in the middle of the field to learn on how to fold lotus flowers and make a bouquet out of it. The views were breathtaking.
After the boat ride, we got a tour around the farm. We learned a lot about the fabric, the process of making clothes and other objects… and even got to try it ourselves. We made bracelets, incense, paper… At the end of the day, they gave us all the things we made and even added some extras like tea and lotus beams.
The women were very friendly and always welcomed us with a warm smile. We think the farm is a very nice initiative.
We really recommend going on this tour. We had the best experience and it was a very relaxing activity.

This was money well spent, absolutely amazing experience, started off with a boat trip through the lotus farm, shown how to fold the petals and make a pretty bouquet 💐 then back to the workshop and shown how to make yarn, paper, incense sticks and a bracelet all using the entire lotus flower and stem, rounded off with lotus tea and Cambodian mooncakes.
This enterprise focuses on providing employment for women in a calm and peaceful environment ❤

I recommend this activity! We learned so much about this intelligent flower, the explanation was interesting, the workshop activities were fun to do and the visit to the lotus field was just magical!
Practical: you need your own transportation to the workshop place and to the the lotus fields.

All of it was great but in particular the boat trip to collect the lotus flowers from the lake. It was also amazing to find out how versatile a plant the lotus is during the workshop and how every part of it can be used.

It was so exciting to visit the Lotus Farm!! Awen has created a magical center for textile creation and experimentation. Who knew that fiber could be created from the stems of the lotus flowers?? The setting is lovely - peaceful and serene - with the happy sound of young Cambodian women enjoying their work. The entire process from harvesting the flower stems, cleaning them, extracting the fiber, spinning it and finally weaving cloth all takes place in Awen's open outdoor studio. Viola! Flower to scarf. What could be more fascinating? Spending the afternoon at the Lotus farm was the highlight of my trip to Cambodia!!

Nous avons passé 3h dans cette ferme : découverte du lotus, plante incroyable et ses nombreux dérivés. Explication très intéressante en français par le propriétaire des lieux. Ferme écologique et projet social (mise au travail des femmes de la région). Plusieurs ateliers sympathiques (et l’on peut repartir avec ses bricolages 😊), possibilité aussi de faire quelques achats originaux et de boire un thé au lotus face à une vue sublime. Seul bémol : le tour en bateau dans les champs de lotus a été fait avec deux cambodgiens qui ne parlaient pas un mot d’anglais et qui ne nous ont pas adressé la parole. Au delà du fait qu’on n’a rien appris pendant ce tour en barque (et qu’on s’est fait bouffer par les moustiques prenez vos précautions), on se demandait un peu ce qu’on faisait là car les deux papotaient entre eux sans faire du tout attention à nous (on a reçu des fleurs bricolées par la femme pendant qu’elle papotait), un peu dommage mais le reste était top.

C’est une expérience géniale, on apprend tout sur le lotus, les gens sont super gentils , j’ai pris l’expérience entière avec le bateau pour aller dans les champs de lotus, puis j’ai appris a sortir les filaments des tiges, a les tisser pour faire un petit bracelet, puis faire un dessin sur le papier mâché de lotus, faire un bracelet avec les graines séchées et enfin faire de l’encens. Un beau cadeau vous attend a la fin de l’expérience. C’est vraiment super comme moment. De plus le patron est français , comme je ne parle pas bien anglais, il a pu m’expliquer. Je recommande fortement
