Anna was amazing. She took us into the heart of Amsterdam that we never would have found on our own. She is absolutely lovely and we had a wonderful time with our new friend. Highly Reccomend!

We wanted to get a sense of Amsterdam by walking around with someone who lived there. Alan was great, very knowledgeable, directed us to a local neighborhood he had lived in with a remarkable street market and many places to stop for a drink or to shop. We took the underground rail as well as walking. We visited for about 1 hour 45, the weather was awful, so we walked to our hotel area to finish. Great addition to our time there.

For me and my colleague, this tour was mediocre at best - and definitely not “bespoke.” Yes, I completed the online questionnaire about our interests, but this must not have made it to our guide. Our first stop was the Red Light District, which would have been at the end of our list if we had been asked. The tour took us around the city - but with very little interesting background or historical information to accompany it. Our guide did not know the meaning of the three “X”s of Amsterdam. We stopped at a very touristy cheese shop and tried to get a piece of apple pie at Winkel 43 (line too long). We could have been on any other tour and probably would have been better off doing a Rick Steves self-guided walking tour.

This was a personalized walking tour of the old part of Amsterdam. Wendy met all our requests and tailored the trip to our interests. She walked at a good pace for us and her English was excellent. If you’re unfamiliar with the city this is a great way to get to know it.

What a great experience! Luckily we had Anna as our guide for the 4 hour walking tour. She is amazing. She has options regarding what exactly we wanted for the experience and was very flexible if we found something we wanted to spend a little more time on. We wanted to see more of the hidden gems” and she delivered. She was gracious, knowledgeable and passionate about her adopted city. We learned a lot about the history, economy and culture and she also kept us safe from the cyclists when I mistakenly wandered onto the bike lane :)
We had the best time, a perfect afternoon. I would highly recommend Anna and this tour. She tailors it to your wants and your pace. We will book another tour with her when we make it back to Amsterdam.
