The three main excursions were great. The flight was good, scenery was beautiful. It left on time and arrived in Page with no problems. The transfer from the airport to the Antelope Canyon tour went well. That tour was real interesting. It was cool to be in a place that few people would ever see. The guide was really good. He spoke well and took the time to help people take good photos and take photos of couples and groups. After that it fell apart, from then on it was poorly managed. We spent 90 minutes waiting before the rafting excursion. No food or drink were available. Then we were herded on to the bus to go to the rafting excursion. We sat on the bus in the parking lot for another 20 minutes. When we got to the river landing we were given our box lunches and told to go eat them. There was a small area we had to share with other folks while eating. We were not given enough time to finish eating our lunches before being herded onto the river raft. (P.S. if they had given us our lunches while we were waiting for the transfer to the raft excursion, we would have been able to eat in comfort and would not have been so cranky about the wait.) The rafting excursion itself was great, the guide was very informative, the views were fantastic and we all enjoyed ourselves. However, the various websites describing the trip implied that it was a 4-5 river rafting excursion. In reality , it was 2 hours. That was actually ok. Then we got on the bus for the return to our starting point. That was a 3-4 hour bus ride back to our starting locations. There was a stop at a trading post, but most were too tired to spend much time there. They rushed us back on to the bus anyway.

I thought it was too pricey but with all those people who they have to pay for these 3 adventure? Its actually the most economical way. Our Pilot Sam? He has an energy that cannot be beat. The person you want to be on your side when you’re having a bad day. The Antelope Canyon? Our tour guide Staci was unbelievably friendly and nice. Water adventure was very relaxing and our tour guide Kelly was also amazing. The people who work there serve you with a smile (not someone who hate their job like). Its a memorable one for us.

Wow, what an epic day! The weather was perfect, which totally made the day even better. Flying over the Grand Canyon and that twisty Horseshoe Bend was like seeing something from another planet. Got some sick pictures! Even though we couldn’t pick our seats on the plane because they had to make sure it wouldn’t tip over or something, the views were still amazing, especially from the left side.Antelope Canyon was like walking through a maze from a fantasy movie. Super tight spaces and the ground wasn’t flat at all, but it was so worth it. The photos came out looking just like the ones you see online. The guide was really cool, helping everyone snap the best shots with their phones since I forgot my real camera. Then, there was the boat ride down the Colorado River. Our guide was awesome, and floating down the river was something I’ll never forget. We even stopped to check out these ancient cave drawings, which was like looking at a real-life history book. The trip back took about two hours, and we stopped at this Navajo trading post. It was neat to look at all the stuff they had for sale. Seriously, if you ever get the chance to do something like this, totally go for it. It was an unforgettable day packed with so much to see and do!

So we booked this through the Xanterra site that you get when you go to the Grand Canyon National Park site and look for activities. Right now it says that it's not available: what happened to us is that it was unavailable until spring, when they settle on the price etc. for the new tourist season. I asked to be put on an email notification so that it wouldn't sell out on the two days we had available in September, and that worked out. I was pretty persistent about checking on it with Xanterra. First of all, it's a really, really long day. Just be prepared for that. You get up super early to drive over and check in, then wait at the airport for the sun to rise. The plane ride over the canyon was amazing: views that were so beautiful they made me cry. I appreciated that we both got window seats with an empty middle seat between us. There are headphones with recorded narration. After flying over the canyon and Horseshoe Bend, you land at Lake Powell airport. We took pictures with the plane, had a bathroom break in the small airport, then met up with our Navajo nation guide for the trip to Antelope Canyon. She was very kind, patient, and welcoming. The ride is in an open air truck with two rows of bench seats. There is an overhead cover and there are seat belts. She took us into the area and then up to the canyon. I was a little worried because multiple buses pulled up and lots of people got out, but the guides handled it beautifully. Each group waited while the one ahead went into each area, took photos while listening to the guide, and then moved ahead. Very well organized. I had never been in a slot canyon and it was truly beautiful and very cool. The photos were amazing; our guide was full of tips about phone settings and positions in the canyon for various types of pictures. We were taken to a water sports/activities center where we could refill water bottles and use the restroom while we waited outside. It was a little awkward. There we met up with another group and went through metal detectors before boarding a bus to the Lake Powell dam. At the foot of the dam we got into small open boats and floated down the Colorado river and around Horseshoe Bend, stopping to look at rock formations, wild horses (!), and views along the way. We got out of the boats once at a spot that had porta potties and amazingly clear Native American hieroglyphics. The water was too cold for swimming unless you were very hardy. The float trip was lovely, but a bit long since you couldn't move around very much on the boat and it was very sunny/hot. Also, the lunch provided was okay but not much....and they gave it to us while we were waiting for the bus and told us not to eat it on the bus, so we started eating before the bus and had to stop...it was strangely inefficient and not enough food for the day. Bring snacks and refill your water whenever you get the chance. Bus ride home was worst part; comfortable but long with only one stop. Those of us who had done the plane part of the trip had to wait as the bus wound its way through Grand Canyon Village and slowly disembarked the others, so very late getting back to our vehicle and a really long time between bathroom breaks! (Also, the airport is pretty much closed when you get back so don't expect a bathroom there.) All in all, a long day but so many great experiences!

Overall, it was very good. I loved it being bundled together so that the plans for the day was taken care of. The sites were really incredible. I'm giving a 4-star because I do wish there was a super knowledgeable guide with our group for the entire duration to answer questions and help with the transition between tours. I would have preferred an actual person giving the talking tour during the airplane as well. If you take this tour, be sure to bring your own snacks as the "lunch" isn't filling and is pretty early in the morning.

Our tour guide and driver were really good. However, you have to pay extra $20 / person for the guided walking tour otherwise you go on a small bus with Native guides. The restaurant is not good the food was dry and just not even worth the extra money just buy lunch at the canyon. Otherwise it's a great experience.

We only had a short time in the Grand Canyon so we chose a multi level tour and so glad we did! This is the best way to see the canyon! Views were spectacular. The plane ride got amazing angles from different shots of the canyon. We really enjoyed the tour through Anyelope Canyon with the Navajo tour guide, Rosie. She is a second generation tour guide, and gave us so much interesting information about the formation of the slot canyon, was very helpful with setting up really cool photos in the slot canyon. Antelope Canyon is gorgeous and not to be missed! We also enjoyed the raft trip on the river, it puts in at the base of Glen Canyon Dam also with a Navajo guide, Kim. So much knowledge of the area. I loved hearing about Kim‘s family history, living on the reservation. It may have been a little long raft ride but all in all it was a great tour and highly recommend. The pictures you get from standing along the Rim don’t compare with pics you get from the air!

Wow! What am amazing experience. My family really enjoyed seeing the canyon from above during the plane ride but also seeing it from the river during the raft ride. The truck ride in between to antelope canyon was an awesome side experience. Each location had a great tour guide that was very knowledgeable and made the experience that much better!! Would recommend!
