Sunshine Village sits high on the Continental Divide in the heart of Banff National Park. It features three sprawling mountains with breathtaking sights, uninterrupted by any signs of civilization. Just a quick 15 minute drive from the town of Banff, Sunshine Village is the perfect place to escape the crowds and enjoy nature.

It was my first time skiing at Sunshine Village and took a Mountain Tour with David (old man) that's what he waned us to call him. He was an 82 year old guide that was an excellent skier and had so much knowledge of the history of the resort. He knew where he should take us for our ability and snow conditions. He was a delight and an excellent ambassador for the resort. Highly recommend taking a mountain tour if it's your first time there.

31st January was my second ski tour at Banff Sunshine. I have already reviewed my 26th January tour and, because of this, TripAdvisor won't let me leave a second review under Banff Sunshine, even though it was a separate tour. Therefore I am leaving it under Banff Gondola. If Banff Gondola people pick this up, please can you pass it to Banff Sunshine tour people. Our 31st January tour was a great experience, led by Karen Irvine and backed up by Quinn Andrew. They saved us the bother of finding our way around, by expertly guiding us on a logical route round the mountains, catching the best runs for the moving weather. They gauged the pace just right for the party. This is an amazing service - I can't believe it is provided without charge. Thank you.

The Ski classes were fun and I learn a lot with the instructor (Mark) . The place its awesome. Except for the food, its not so good and its expensive. But all the personal was really kind.

We visited the Banff Sunshine Village and took the gondola rides as a sightseeing tour, instead of as a means to ski or snowboard. It was gorgeous - the views are just unreal. At the top you can enjoy croissants and hot cocoa and see the views some more.

Great views. Great hike! Gondola ride was longer than expected and very enjoyable. Not crowded and reasonable cost.

The Banf Gondala. What a wonderful experience to go open the gondola and enjoy the beautiful views. Staff were excellent and we had our own car to ourselves throughout. The staff were very helpful and we really enjoyed this trip. Access to the gondola and into the actual cars was very well organised and the staff were there to help you all the way.

I appreciated the link in which to catch the free shuttle to the Gondola. I was without a car and that was helpful. Getting the shuttle and getting to the Gondola was easy with no issues. Once I arrived I got my ticket for the Gondola, which is about a 15-20 minute ride up with wonderful views along the way. I took my time hiked to the lake. Beware of the elevation, it can be brutal for some.

Just be aware that the leaflets they have out and about in Banff show some beautiful walks but nowhere do they tell you that in order to do those walks you have to pay a ridiculous amount to get to the start of them for a gondola!!! When we complained we got a man called Osmond Chiu who didn't say he was part of the management team until asked directly several times, he then tried to make out that the hotels were at fault as they should make people aware of the cost - we pointed out that we picked their leaflet up in a public area!! No accountability taken for the fact that you are totally mislead. Awful customer service and frankly not worth the 20 minute drive from Banff.

We did 3 gondolas in the lake louise/banff area and this was by far our favorite. Once up there it was other worldly and we were able to hike around and explore. We were freezing but came prepared with hats scarves and gloves (and parkas). But that didn’t dampen the experience. In sept it was not crowded but I imagine the wild flower meadows would be spectacular in mid summer,
