The guids were helpful in getting us accustomed to the boat and the areas. It was fun to drive the boat and choose our snorkle spots. We had a nice time and enjoyed the sights. The downside was the snorkle gear. First, we ended up one fin short. Then one mask was broken and water seeped in the whole time. It would been nice if we had a spray for the masks as well to keep them fog free.

I can’t say enough good things about these guys! They accommodated us when we were unsure about our “ability” to captain a dinghy on our own. We already knew which beach we wanted to see the most, Scott beach, so they loaded us up and dropped us at Scott beach for the day. We had the entire beach to ourselves most of the day. I would definitely get the cooler full of ice option. It was a peaceful beautiful day spent resting and snorkeling!

The staff was great with our orientation and getting us on our way. We then broke a prop and was stranded on a beach with high waves. We contacted them and they were so good to come get us and the staff was extremely good to us.

My husband and I had such a Wonderful experience from the beginning. Booking was easy, check in was simple and the crew who helped us gave us so many tips before turning us loose. Would highly recommend doing this!!

If you’re looking to get out on the water on your trip to St. John (which you MUST do), rent a dinghy! No captain, no strangers, just you and your party. I’ve never driven a dinghy before and the Wharfside Watersport staff gave a detailed and thorough walkthrough on how to operate it. They made it incredibly easy! We visited every beach on the north shore in one day. We accessed beaches you can’t drive to, swam and snorkeled at every beach from Cruz bay to Francis bay. It was by far the best way to see the island, and so affordable! This is a must do!!

This was so fun! We rode all the way from Cruz Bay to Waterlemon. Little rough taking such a small boat out on the ocean waters but it was worth it! We saw so many sea turtles, fish, sting rays and starfish! Even though they give you a physical map, it was helpful to have our cell phones with google maps so we could make sure we were going to the right beaches!

Great staff. Knowledgeable, professional and keeps your safety in mind. We rented a dingy boat for two. It's better if you have boating experience, but not necessary. The boat engine was difficult to trim up and pull start at times. Be mindful of the ferry schedule because they will run you over. We had a blast island hopping and will return for a bigger boat.

Professional from start to finish. They made everything easy for me and my family of 6. It was a pleasure meeting the team and a fantastic experience on St John.
