The iconic white USS Arizona Memorial sits right above the sunken ship. The USS Arizona was hit early in the attacks with one bomb penetrating the magazine chamber where ammunition is stored causing a huge explosion. During the sinking of the Arizona, 1,177 sailors perished, their remains buried within the wreckage. Today, the USS Arizona Memorial is Pearl Harbor’s most visited site and continues to serve as a final resting place for sailors who survived the attack and passed away later in life.

Walk the deck of the last battleship the US ever built in footprints of General MacArthur and Admiral Chester Nimitz. It was on the deck of the Missouri in 1945 that the Instrument of Surrender was signed ending WWII. The guided deck tour includes viewing officer and crew quarters, artillery, a kamikaze aircraft crash, and a Surrender ceremony.

Stop At: USS Oklahoma Memorial, Ford Island Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Oahu, HI
The only land-based memorial at Pearl Harbor, the USS Oklahoma Memorial honors the more than 400 servicemen who lost their lives aboard the ship during the flurry of attacks on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Second only in casualties to the USS Arizona on that fateful day, the Oklahoma Memorial on Ford Island.

After Pearl Harbor, you will visit the historic district on a Honolulu City Tour. You will see Iolani Palace, the only royal palace in the United States and learn the story of the iconic King Kamehameha statue. You will pass by other sites as well on this entertaining tour.
