COOLEST EXPERIENCE EVER! And this is coming from someone that dives with tiger sharks regularly... This was the last adventure of our two week honeymoon in Alaska. We definitely saved the best for last! They communicated great, especially when we had to delay our flight about an hour for the weather to clear. Bill was so nice as we walked in and made a special congrats for it being our honeymoon. Jordan was our pilot. He really helped make the trip. The flight was smooth, he talked and got to know us during the flight, and was very accommodating. The plane sat my husband, me, Jordan, and two other guests. Our first landing in the park went above and beyond our expectations. We saw 20+ bears in the first 30 minutes! One had triplets. Some came within 100ft of us. The next stop blew our minds! We walked out onto the mud flats where the bears were feeding and were withing 15-20ft! The bears paid no mind to us. We respected their space and they just went about their day as usual. Jordan did carry a bear safety flare incase of an emergency, but assured us it has never been necessary. On a short hike came the most exciting part, a mom (named crimp ear) and her two cubs strolled right past us! About 10ft away! No zoom was needed to get a breath taking video and stunning pictures. We were in the park for about 4 hours I believe (you lose track of time really easy). They provided with a great picnic lunch. Nothing beats sitting on the beach eating a sandwich and watching bears! Alaska is expensive... BUT, this excursion, I can honestly say was, the ***best bang for our buck*** that we did in those two weeks.

Was better than expected, smooth airplane ride, and lots of bears, females & cubs, two males argueing over clambeds, fantastic sites! Heard about Brooks Falls and the lines, so glad we chose Alaska Air via Viator instead. We're recommending it to all our friends. Pilot was calm cool and professional....best experience we had !!

This was the highlight of our trip. 100% recommend. Everyone (from the owner on down) was completely customer service oriented. We felt 100% safe the entire time. Our pilot, Katie, went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience in challenging conditions. We saw MNAY bears up close and had the experience of a lifetime!!!

Our experience with Alaska Air Service was fantastic. Great communication up front. Warm welcome from Bill on our arrival. Our pilot Katie was top notch. Their whole team was exceptional. Beautiful flight, skilled takeoffs and landings, knowledgeable guiding, amazing bears, and a comfortable pace. Such great access to the wild with a clear emphasis on respecting nature. Truly even better than expected. Binoculars or a Telephoto lens are a plus as we saw bears at a variety of safe distances. Sturdy shoes are in order for the walks out to good vantage points. What a joy.

This tour was perfect from beginning to end! Jordan, our pilot and tour guide, went out of his way to make sure we all had a great time. He pointed out the landscape as we were flying out to Lake Clarke National Park and then landed smoothly on the beach upon arrival. He helped me feel comfortable (and not scared) with seeing brown bears pretty darn close by sharing safety tips and guided us to viewing locations. We saw bears from the sky and on land. After roaming around the main viewing area, we flew to the best picnic spot I’ve ever been to. The lunch itself was really good too (sandwich, pasta salad, chips, chocolate, fig bar, fruit, and water). Everything about this tour exceeded my expectations. It truly was an experience of a lifetime. If you can only afford one excursion on your trip to Alaska, pick this one!

This was a first class experience - great pilot/guide, awesome scenery and a number of bears. The experience of being out within a few metres of a brown bear digging for clams at Silver Salmon Creek beach was unforgettable. Highly recommended

If there was a zero stat I would given it to them. Stay away from this tour company if you have any food allergies or disability. We booked travel with them months ago and let them know up front about the food allergies and my recent surgery. Planned the whole Alaska trip around this tour. They canceled on us the day before the tour because they did not want to provide us food for our daughter who has food allergies and husband who is gluten free. They refuse to pick up the phone to give us an explanation of why they were canceling. All they said is that we are difficult and their company is not going to turn them self upside down to accommodate us. We even told them that please don’t cancel we will bring our own food, but they said that we have been rude, would not give me an example of what we said that was rude. They kept on calling us difficult. The only difficult thing about our family is the allergies my daughter has. I explained to them that it was my daughters birthday gift to see the bears, they did not care. So be aware if they don’t like the “TONE” of your text they will cancel last minute and through your whole trip off.

The airplane ride was beautiful as Lucas took great care to fly over Belugas, glaciers and wildlife. He landed the plane on the beach right in front of sibling bears and they walked right past us. The picnic was in a beautiful area. Loved it all. A great day.

This was an awesome experience from start to finish. We went to Lake Clark on June 7th. Bill was great, our pilot/guide (Kelly)was great, all the staff was top notch. The couple that we went with were awesome too. The plane ride in was incredible. The views coupled with our pilots knowledge of every area we were flying over made for an experience in and of itself. When we landed in lake Clark it was like being in another world. We saw multiple bears from the plane and on the ground. Kelly went above and beyond to find us the best spot for the day and he did not disappoint. We settled for a bit watching a young male and female playing around just across a creek from us. Really incredible to watch. After this experience we flew over to the Silver Salmon Creek area for lunch. Lunch was great and after relaxing for a bit we saw some more bear action before getting on the plane to head back. Young bear running around by himself goofing off on the beach in the distance. To see these bears was a treat but this was much more than just a simple bear viewing trip, and these guys made sure of it. If you are considering which company to go with (as we were at one point) I can not recommend enough that you stop now. You have found the best. We were on the fence about spending the money and now we would not hesitate to spend it all over again. It was worth every penny. Side note: This is the only company I could find that isn’t just trying to take your money. If life happens and you can’t make the trip they will give you your money back (just give them a few days notice at least so they can fill the spot with someone else). As parents of two kids (and life does happen a lot) this policy made us feel so comfortable booking with them. I mean who knows what might happen with the 45 or 90 days notice some of these other companies require! We are glad that we didn’t have to utilize this awesome policy though! We WILL be doing this again next time we come to Alaska and we can’t wait for it to be with Bill and the gang at Alaska Air Service! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Our family of three went on a bear tour to Lake Clark National Park yesterday and it was the experience of a lifetime! Bill checked in with us a couple of times before the trip to see if we needed a ride and to make sure of our food allergies (we have several and they were great about accommodating). Bill greeted us and his friendly, unpretentious manner set us at ease immediately. Our pilot (Lucas) was excellent and the flight was breathtaking. We saw a lot of bears and a couple came to within 10 yards of us. We appreciated that they respect the bears space and do not “push” them as we saw some other groups do (the bears we saw up close approached us from a long ways away). Lucas and Kelly (another guide and pilot) were fun and great at their jobs. We highly recommend this company and tour - do it - you will not regret it!!!!
