Beijing Airport Layover to City Flexible(4-12 Hour) Private Tour

We chose to have a long transfert in Beijing in order to make a quick tour of the city. Mark was a great guide and host, leading us to a quick but extremely interesting tour of the city. It was also a national holiday for China, so we found lots of people, but we made it. We also rented some bikes in order to see the last things, and it was amazing. We ha just a taste of Beijing, but surely we will come back and Mark would be a referenze for sure.

This trip was oustanding, our guide Mark was excellent, fluent in English, not to mention very helpful. We even visit custom itinerary which include Beijing new City Library. 10/10 Overall.

We only had a few hours to visit Beijing until we had to take the next flight so we decided to get a guided tour. The guide Jenny was super nice and took us to many places very quickly including a restaurant where we had a delicious duck.

It was very interesting. A lot of walk but you learn so much about the History of this Country. The Guide was very nice and he can answer every question you have.

We can absolutely recommend the tour with Mark Ma and were completely satisfied. At first we were a little sceptical about whether everything, especially the pick-up and drop-off at Beijing airport, would go smoothly, especially since we were traveling as a family with two adults, a baby and a 9-years-old boy. So it helped much that communication with Mark via email and WhatsApp (which also worked for us in China) was even in advance very good and always quick. The meeting point at Starbucks in Beijing airport was quickly agreed and everything went smoothly. The car was also great - new and big [a van] so we had plenty of space with 4 people plus foldable stroller etc. Mark was very friendly and tried to arrange everything according to our wishes and show us the highlights of the city. In summary, it was a great experience for us that we would never have been able to realize without Mark. Best rating ;)

Mark was at the airport at time and after we met we discussed the itinerary for the day. I had booked the 12 hour tour so the itinerary included Tienanmen square, Entrance to the Forbidden City (as it was Monday, it was closed) Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, and Hutong neighbourhood. It might not sound a lot but each side is quite big to explore, especially the palace and the temple. The tour also included a lunch break at a local Chinese restaurant serving delicious food and breaks for refreshments. Mark was very knowledgeable, answering all of my (numerous) questions, polite, honest and pleasant to be with. Plus, he knew all the best spots for pictures. I had a great time and would highly recommend him. Would definitely choose him again next time I find myself in Beijing with a few hours to spare.

Mike the tour guide is a caring person and takes lovely pictures. Yet, I regret having booked the 12-hour-tour, as I have the feeling it wasn’t really thought through and basically veeeery expensive for what was provided… He basically wanted to do the same as a shorter tour but in a slower pace and not with more insights. I mean I appreciate that he saw I wasn’t happy and organised a car to the Great Wall and dinner but still: I had to pay extra to go to the Wall, the entrance fees overall are not included, didn’t get water as written in the description and I didn’t learn more with the comments provided, bot more extensive than what is provided in the Lonely Planet. Since you don’t do it by car you have to carry your bags around the city. Now after having compared more with other tours I’d sum up by saying: book Mike for short tours and if you don’t have heavy bags. Otherwise book another one a bit more thought through with car transportation and entrance fees included.

Mark was absolutely amazing from the get go, such a lovely up beat personality. We did loads of walking had amazing Chinese food, and visited incredible places. The tour is flexible, we spoke about what we wanted to see most, and did the most out of our layover. Mark took beautiful pictures everywhere we went and gave my sister and I one of the best experiences in Beijing, 100000% recommend

Mark was a great guide who made sure we could navigate Beijing and see the sites we wanted to see from really amazing places, he showed us a great restaurant where we had a delicious dinner and generally made our experience enjoyable and stress free. Thank you Mark!

Mark was an awesome guide, getting in touch even before the tour started to answer any questions I had about meeting time & place, Visa issues & suggestions of what we can do. We managed to fit in a tour of the Summer Palace which I requested even though I only had a 4 hour window. Mark was informative, friendly & organised leading me to the best spots, taking pictures for me & making sure I knew where I needed to go on my return to the airport for my connecting flight. He even carried my carry-on bag the whole way, which was much appreciated after a long flight. I'll definitely recommend his services. Thanks again Mark. Nicky
