We will be stepping back into one of the oldest and best-preserved fortresses in Norway. Our exploration will take us through various historical periods, beginning with the Håkon's Hall, an emblem of the late medieval era from the 13th century.

Next, we'll get up close with the Rosenkrantz Tower, originating from the 1560s, and observe structures built during the Napoleonic period.

The journey also encompasses the pivotal role of the fortress during the Second World War.

Probably the most well-known area in Bergen, thanks to the striking images online, is Bryggen, the iconic harbor district. As we make our way through the small alleyways, we are surrounded by picturesque, colorful wooden buildings. Quaint shops, artist studios, and cozy eateries have found their home here. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a place of history that has withstood fires and rebuilding, yet has managed to remain the iconic center of the city.

Another gem we will visit is Mount Fløyen, known for its breathtaking views and the funicular ride that takes us to the top. At the summit, Mount Fløyen offers panoramic views of Bergen and its surroundings, making it a perfect spot for memorable photos.

You will also have the option to join the guide on a short hike to a scenic spot in the forest. The hike is manageable even with a stroller and consists of two brief, 10-minute walks. However, if you feel like taking it easy, there is also the possibility to visit a café and simply enjoy the view.

As we return to Bergen, you have the option to be dropped off at the Fish Market, situated right in the city center. From there, you can continue to explore the city further, enjoy some shopping, or simply stroll around, all within walking distance of your cruise ship.
