Our guide was Tom and he’s such a great guy.
The tour was interesting and very insightful. You get to know the different sides of the LGBTQI+ community in present Berlin and in the past.
Although it was hot but the energy kept us going and the little break at Romeo&Romeo was lovely.
It’s very recommended and actually an important thing to do when you visit Berlin, whether your part of the community or just an ally.

Nice walking through Berlin 🌈
Our guide Tom show us gay/ queer hotspots of the past and present with some important details and historical information. So it was possible to get a feeling about the gay/ queer life in the past and how it evolves into the gay/ queer lifestyle we know today.
Also a little bit of smalltalk with the group and Tom was possible during the walking and the coffee brake in the café Romeo and Romeo (in Berlin-Schönefeld).

This tour was quite entertaining and the guide was very knowledgeable. I had fun and the group was very entertained as well. The walk was historical and sightseeing worthy.

Overall ->
The walking tour was nice. I definitely recommend it if you are interested in queer history in Berlin or want to know queer neighbourhoods. I visited some places but didn't pay attention to a symbol or the name of places. A guide showed and explained them well. There was a highlight at the end of the tour. But this time I only had to imagine it :)
Prepare ->
No worry about the walking distance. Because we get on a train 2 times (to save money, a 24-hour ticket works in case you plan to get to another place before/after the tour) and there was a short break to eat/drink and refresh.
Guide ->
Scott is friendly and enthusiastic to answer your questions for each stop. (It's just no one had a question during the tour 😅). At the end of the tour, Scott is also there to answer questions not necessarily related to history.

Scott is very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour takes you off the tourist spots and is very informative about how lgbt history is ingrained within Berlin society and how it still is. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. It’s not a strenuous walk and it’s extremely engaging.

Walid was a wonderful guide, he made us all feel welcome and his personal anecdotes about moving to the city in the 90s really added life to the tour. He opened up some interesting discussions and not only taught us about Berlin's queer history, but was keen to learn about all of our queer history too, especially from the youngest members of the group as the movement is evolving so quickly. We ended in a Gay and Lesbian Street Festival and he made sure we were all safe and happy before sending us on our merry way.
Wear your good walking shoes and be prepared for a few train trips, the tour is partially customisable depending on the group's appetite for distance.

This tour has generally excellent reviews, so it may depend strongly on the guide. We had Walid, whom I strongly recommend against--to the point of calling ahead to see who will be giving the tour on your scheduled date and asking to reschedule if Walid is the guide. Personal anecdotes are interesting, but I paid for a walking tour of gay and lesbian Berlin, not repeated references to his preferred music genres. He seemed much more interested in being jovial than in delivering information in a coherent fasion. Obviously, one needs to move back and forth in time as the group moves from one spot to another, but I have no idea why we spent 10 minutes learning about Frederick the Great while standing in the entrance to an U-Bahn station. Walid, a native English speaker, also *consistently* used "transsexual" instead of "trasnsgender," claiming that these "new movements" were confusing to him.
In terms of the locations promised on the tour:
1. Kreuzberg: we stood in a traffic cirle next to the U-Bahn and he told us there were gay bars "down the street" before we went back on the U-Bahn. The information about Kreuzberg being surrounded on three sides by the Berlin Wall was interesting.
2. Suedblock: he didn't mention it, we didn't go by it, I don't know anything about it.
3. Berghain: we did spend a long time here while Walid discussed the initial use of warehouses as gay clubs after the Wall fell (interesting) and discussed his music tastes (less interesting).
4. Tiergarten: nope
5. Gay Museum: nope
6. Schoeneberg: we walked quickly down a street that had some gay bars on it.
Christopher Isherwood occupied two sentences ("his house was on the other side of the street") with no explanation of who he was for those who didn't know.
Oh, and a maximum of 15 people? Try about 25.
I could have found a better tour and learned more from any standard city guidebook.

Confusion with tour guide. I arrived at 11:45a 27Nov to meet the Gay and Lesbian tour group: There was one person checking my tour and Covid test for all the other customers . I checked in as there were three other tour guides not knowing that. . There was no tour guide Signs. When ready to leave “tours” One guide said “Women in BERLIN”, then a group all in German went to the left and then there there was one guide Trevor and said “we are all here!” I followed Trevor and halfway through an excellent guide tour i thought a wonderful and knowledgeable guide Trevor for the Street Art but it was not the tour that I confirmed and requested . I enjoyed the Street Art but again it is not what I requested .
