We really enjoyed our tour guide KD, he went out of his way to make our day an enjoyable one. It's so nice to be picked up and have such a knowledgeable guide. It was a delight to not have to stand in line for tickets but to have them handed to you for all the sights. He also gave us many other recommendations. We really enjoyed our day and would highly recommend this tour.

We were lucky to not have to share time with other couples so it was us with our guide who was wonderful. The tour was educational and interesting thanks to our tour guide.

I booked this tour weeks in advance solely because it had the option for hotel pick up. I selected my hotel from the drop down menu on Viator. The day before the tour (less than the 24 hour cancellation window) the tour operator texted and said I had to meet them downtown in a parking lot, they would not pick me up after all. My hotel was outside their pick up area.
I contacted Viator. They would not refund, said it would need to be 'reviewed'. So instead of risking being out the cash, I ubered to the parking lot and waited for the tour. The guide was excellent. We stopped at the Alamo and a Mission. Then a storm rolled in. I did go up in the Tower of Americas but was unable to see anything due to the rain. I could have saved my ticket for another day, but this was my only free day while in town. Was given my ticket for the river boat ride to use at a later date, which I was not able to use. The rest of the tour was cancelled due to rain. I was driven back to my hotel since there were still two hours left in the tour. The weather was unfortunate and could not be helped. The hassle with the ride could have been. I have never been to this area of the country before and had no idea my hotel was outside their pick up area, especially when Viator let me select the hotel! Very disappointed with (non existent) customer service. The tour operator could have let me know long before that there was an issue with the hotel I selected. But they waited until the 24 hour refund window passed knowing I could not get a refund. I would not book with Trip Sheperd (the tour operator) again for this reason. I would have cancelled if I could have.

If you only have one day this is a great option. Our tour guide had some challenges thrown his way and rolled nicely with them. I personally think the tower is not optimum but that wasn't in his control.

Excellent private tour with KD. He thoroughly explained each stop and was very knowledgeable. KD tailored made our experience even better by adding on a stop. We appreciated his recommendations and his attention for our comfort. Highly recommend this tour when visiting San Antonio!

We needed a little more time at the Alamo. One hour was not enough. The missions were better than we had expected. We wish the Tour Guide would have given an actual tour in all of the places we went rather than just taking us there and turning us loose for a designated period of time.

Tour guide KD (Kelly) was very personable, informative, and extremely customer oriented. He was able to answer any questions or concerns and offered to assist should we need to contact him after the tour. We extremely recommend this specific tour of San Antonio.
