Eric was a friendly and knowledgeable guide. During the water rafting, he gave us a brief history of Sarapiqui and identified many different birds along the river. We had a lot of fun.
David was a good host. He helped us put all the gears on and took many good pictures for us. A good vegetarian lunch and a delicious sugar crane drink were provided after the exciting water rafting.

Good rapids, despite being relatively low depth for the time of the season. Eric, our guide/pilot(?) was really clear & thorough in his pre-rafting briefing.
Excellent communication throughout the adventure & we felt safe, but positively challenged, throughout the course.
David, the company owner & safety kayaker on the day, was really helpful & also gave us loads of really interesting local knowledge which further enhanced the experience.
The lunch provided afterwards was (vegan) tasty & filled a hole. David even included us in a demonstration of how sugar cane juice used to be made.
This was a nice, unexpected addition, which enhanced the experience by learning more about the local history of the Costa Rican ways.
And finally, a positive mention to receptionist Tatiana, who was super helpful, friendly & fun.
A great adventure all round & highly recommended!!

We had the raft to ourselves (with guide Arturo and kayak spotter, Tucan.) Arturo knew his birds and had good stories of the river. He was a lot of fun. We had a great snack afterwards with a crushed sugarcane drink!

Absolute rip off! They tell you they will pick you up from your hotel, I made sure it included transportation and had to put the name of my hotel in. Was on another tour the day before so very limited access to WiFi. I got confirmation the night before of pickup time, however a few hours later when I had access to WiFi again the destination had been changed and no longer had transportation and everyone all of a sudden developed amnesia that they had ever included transportation!!! Book rafting directly with your hotel because Viator can’t or won’t verify after they change description

We went on the full day rafting trip on the Sarapiqui River class II-III. The trip was about 4 hours... the half day is 2 hours. There was four of us traveling (70s) two were pretty experienced, two had only rafted once years ago. All of us reasonably fit. We had a blast. We were traveling from Bojos de Toro to Selva Biological Station and did this on our way. We had to leave too early for breakfast and were nervous about getting to the center on time and eating breakfast. We thought we would eat at the restaurant but it was not open so they sent us to the soda across the street where we had an excellent breakfast. We were nervous about being late but they told us they were on Tico time so don't worry about it.. especially because it turned out we rafted by ourselves (with our great guide of course) and we walked through their center to the "put-in" place. The rafting was exciting but not too difficult. Arturo clearly knew the river and gave us clear instruction on when to paddle, when to stop, and when to lean into the boat. A kayaker accompanied us a safety feature but also he took great pictures of us. We saw lots of birds on the river and had an excellent lunch back at the center afterwards. Definitely a highlight of our two week CR trip. On past trips, we have rafted the Pacuare and loved it but the travel time to the river made it difficult to access. Glad we did this. Saw better wildlife on the Sarapiqui.

David and his crew treated us as a family. Before, during and after our class-3 rapid rafting trip. They are big on safety, which is positive. The guide was excellent rafter and knowledgeable about the wild-life. We were group of 8 and we all felt home for 4 hours. We really appreciate David for his hospitality.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking rafting adventure in the area.

Really enjoyed our rafting down the Sarapiqui yesterday. Water levels were pretty high after overnight rain but felt very safe and rafting was super fun. Many thanks to the lovely team who looked after us.

My wife and I didn’t want to go for a category 4 rafting activity. So we settled for this category 3 experience. It was perfect for us. Very fun, and not too challenging. The staff spent time going over the safety briefing. Arturo was fantastic. He made the activity very pleasant by point out wildlife along the way and sharing elements of the Costa Rican culture. This was very enjoyable.

Great guides, lovely experience for our family (included a younger son). The river was just beautiful.
We drove there from San Jose past Poas (easy, about 1 hou each way), and so far this is the prettiest place in CR for me. It was an easy commute and great rafting experience.
The guides were so thoughtful pointing our flora/fauna along the way. Really made this a special memorable experience. Can't wait to come back!
