Our stable is the start and ending point for our horseback rides. The ride will lead us along our local black sand beaches at Vík í Mýrdal, called Víkurfjara.
Minimum age 10 years, maximum weight 100kg/220lb, unfortunately no pregnant people can ride.

Great experience. The horses were easy to ride. The ladies running the ride were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Oh, and the scenery was beautiful.

Great experience! Nice ride to the black sand beach along with a tolt back to the stables. Horses were well cared for and stables were very clean. Would recommend!

Both my friend and I were beginner riders and this was a great experience for us. The horses were beautiful and appeared well cared for. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Incredible experience, the black sand beach is amazing on its own, but to learn and ride the gorgeous Icelandic horses truely was a once in a life time experience. The horses are so well trained and well behaved, we had a big group but the guides all made sure we were being looked out for. We even got to stop and the guides captured our special moment which I thought was great. We also got to experience a trot, which was so smooth. 11/10 would recommend this experience to anyone.

We had our tour during the snow which was stunning! We got the chance to tölt which we loved and made it more exciting. Staff were lovely and super friendly and explained everything really clearly. They made plenty of time to stop for photos however our only improvement in this experience would be to have more action shots rather than just stationary photos as it looked a little bit awkward and staged. Overall would definitely recommend!

Our guides were perfect. And the horses were well trained. Even for those of us who had no riding experience, this was amazing.
PS if it is snowing, wear appropriate clothes :)

This was a great experience! Sarah was our lead and Julie was the guide we spent much of our time taking to. They made sure everyone was safe and confidante on their horse and even allowed us a few times at a gate quicker than a walk. It was a beautiful day and our horses were very sweet!

We did this activity as a family. A beautiful setting, quiet horses. The supervision is very attentive and committed to making this experience as enjoyable as possible. We did Tolt, which is a fast walk. A big thanks to Julia for all her valuable advice. I recommend Vik Horse."

Such an awesome part of our trip to Iceland! The staff were so friendly and helped make the experience easy and relaxed with a bit of excitement when the horses started a faster paced trot. Beautiful views of the sea with rocky pillars in the background. I would recommend to anyone wanting an adventure during their visit to Vik. Thank you so much for a beautiful time!
