Stop At: Bob Marley Museum, Nine Mile Jamaica
Upon arriving to the birthplace of musical legend Bob Marley, travelers will be invited to purchase and participate in some of the local activities before beginning the tour. Once the tour begins, guest will learn about tiny village in hills of St. Ann where Bob Marley was born, and fittingly, the place he’s now laid to rest. Although Bob Marley moved to Kingston at age 13 to live with his mother and to advance his music career, he would often return to Nine Miles to get away from the fast pace life of Kingston. Bob Marley wrote several of his hit songs when he was in St. Ann. The home features historical artifacts including the very bed Bob Marley slept in as a child and as an adult when he returned for many cooling visits. Guitars, awards, and photographs are on display along with the mausoleum, where his body lies along with his mother. Please remove your shoes before you enter as a sign of respect.

Driver good
Don’t do the brownies outside if you don’t really do weed 4 pinches will make you paranoid when you are a participant in a gimmicky scam. Not even sure if these guys are true Rastas I’m thinking it has no association with the museum in Kingston because THAT was amazing and you could feel Bob’s positive energy there….here a negative energy and every stop on tge tour you are asked to give a tip and blocked from moving forward if you don’t ( honestly they did this more to white tourist and from reading other posts charged them more for drinks, which was I guess their way of getting reparations I honestly aint mad at them for that. If you have a pure spiritual path and life avoid the chapel and his mothers mausoleum the energy there was off and in the mausoleum he made everyone walk around twice which felt like some kind of weird ritual but I think it was to make sure everyone who came out gave a tip then you literally just go through 2 gifts and a ton of stairs to leave he blocks the gate and doesn’t let you out until you give him tips. Its a huge high hill to walk up and lots of stairs its not accommodating for those with issues walking. I say skip this place unless you really just want to smoke and don’t care about bad energy.

Nine miles is a MUST DO in Jamaica. Captain crazy was phenomenal, it was such a vibe smoking at the birthplace and listening first hand the whole story.

Visiting Bob Marley birthplace was a memorable experice, we all enjoyed learning more about him and seeing where he lived. This tour was great, but our drivers made the trip perfect. Our drivers Odain and David are the best! Not only are they friendly and talkative but they make you feel welcomed. They stepped out of their way to help us get delicious fruit and souvenirs. We were a group of 17 and of all ages and every single one of us loved the experience. Sometimes we expect great service and courtesy when we pay for something but everyone knows it's not always received, but in this case I dare say we got a service of higher quality than we paid for. Drivers like them make every experience even better. Thank you very much for your great service!

We had a wonderful time at the Bob Marley museum. Our driver, Odaine, contacted us prior to the trip, made suggestions of what we may need for the trip so we would be prepared. He was on time to pick us up, courteous, professional, knowledgeable of the areas we were driving through, telling us about Usain Bolt’s birthplace & showing us Usain’s high school, etc. The van was spacious, the AC was “AC’ing” & most importantly, we felt SAFE driving with him! If you’ve ever driven in Jamaica before, you know that’s a TOP PRIORITY!
The museum doesn’t disappoint either. I feel like a ‘Bob Marley expert’ now! We covered from birth to death & everything in between! Don’t hesitate to book your excursion, you won’t be disappointed.

Premièrement, le chauffeur... Odain Hall.
