Excellent tour, brand new boat, they pick you up at your hotel and you tour pretty much the entire island picking up the best locations to snorkel and see things. We were very lucky to see manta ray. Simon is very funny and entertaining, I would strongly recommend taking this tour.

We booked a half-day private snorkeling tour with Tohora Bora Bora and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Our guide was Simon, and he was extremely knowledgeable about the behaviors of the marine wildlife as well as an experienced snorkeler and diver. Additionally, Tohora provides top level snorkeling gear. As a private tour, Simon was able to take us to all the places we wanted to see and ultimately we ended up circumnavigating the lagoon. We went to 4 different locations and saw 2 manta rays, hundreds of fish in the coral gardens, sting rays, eagle rays and even snorkeled with black tip sharks. Simon was great and if available, I would highly recommend a private tour with Tohora!

Simon is an excellent skipper, who knows where to go and has a beautiful brand new orange boat that is stable and spacious. Being Dutch the colour only added to my wellbeing of course…

We had a wonderful afternoon on the water with Simon. His love for the island and knowledge of the area added much to our trip. The snorkeling was fantastic, we even saw manta rays! One of our favorite excursions on our 12 day cruise. Thank you Simon! Steve, Angie, Glenda and Jeff

Simon took my family of 5 (three kids, 10, 7 and 4) on a wonderful snorkeling voyage. Before he had gotten to us, he had found a spot with a giant Manta Ray and helped us find her and then also snorkel in several spots with our three children. He had gear to help make our voyage memorable, was comfortable with the kids and both helped us help them snorkel and stayed on the boat with them so my husband and I could snorkel some on our own. He is clearly very knowledgeable about the island, the animals and the ecology of the area with an eye towards observing without intruding. He took us to a place to snorkel where we could just rely on the current and drift when made it easy with the kids and allowed us to see many varieties of marine life. He really worked hard to find spots that worked for all of us. After a two week trip to Moorea and Bora Bora, I can easily say that the trip with Simon was the highlight of the trip for all of us. If you are lucky enough to be able to book him, do it!

Simon our guide was very knowledgeable and professional at all times. My friend who wasn't a strong snorkeller became tired during one of the snorkel spots, and when simon saw this, he snorkelled over to her, let her grab his arm, and he done all the work snorkelling so she could just glide with him, and still enjoy it, which she was very thankful for. Highly recommend doing this Eco tour!

Booked this private tour through Trip Advisor and then waited three days with no response. Upon calling directly, the tour operator stated that they intended to decline the request because they did not offer this private tour. Not sure why they would advertise on Trip Advisor for a tour that they do not offer. In any case, we are very disappointed with Tohora Bora Bora and will book another tour operator instead.

What an amazing trip! The only way to truly see Bora Bora’s amazing lagoon. We saw magnificent manta rays, natural reefs with amazing corals, a school of spotted rays too many to count, and the amazing area lovingly called the aquarium with every fish imaginable! Our guide Simon was not only very knowledgeable but also really funny! We also got a great island tour with great views of the huts over the water!

Wonderful morning with Simon. We were picked up at our resort dock at 8:30am, and our first stop was to see spotted eagle rays in crystal clear water. We were the first boat there and were able to enjoy following the rays all by ourselves. This was an advantage of going with Simon - he will take you places where there are no other boats. Next stop was the coral gardens on the south end of the lagoon close to the reef. We’ve snorkeled in many places around the world, and this was one of the most naturally beautiful coral gardens we’ve ever seen, complete with many fish and even a black tip reef shark! Once again, we were the only boat there. The current was strong and because I am not a strong swimmer, Simon helped me by holding my hand and leading me through the entire experience. Last stop was a popular snorkeling spot called The Aquarium. We have never swam with so many fish in our lives - hundreds! Simon was in the water with us the whole time and directing our attention to things we would never have noticed on our own, including the highly camouflaged stone fish. In between stops, Simon shared stories about his experiences in the BoraBora area - imparting his passion and concern to make your experience the best it can possibly be. If you’re considering a snorkel tour in BoraBora, this is your guy!
