You will start at the pine trees and a small mystic forest, just listening to the singing birds and footprints of the horse. Then, you will cross the dunes and will be able to feel the strength of the horse while you ride along the beach, always enjoying the best views along the coast. To finish, you will attend a unique sunset that we guarantee, will not leave you indifferent and will be a memory that will last forever!

This was a once in a lifetime experience. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour so much better, and riding the horses on the beach and through the nature preserve was nothing short of amazing. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves nature or an adventure!

I highly recommend this company. The horses, tack and location are excellent. We did the beach ride and it was amazingly beautiful and a truly once in a lifetime experience. The owner was very fun, and safety was his highest concern. I have never had such great livery horses- they were very responsive and trained.

At first we were reluctant to "dive in" into this magnificent experience as none of us ever rode a horse before. We eventually mustered up our courage and we booked a horse riding tour with Carrapateira Extreme Tours. Nelson went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable and relaxed. Duna and Iris were amazing, gentle and a loyal companion; always ready and eager to please us. We had a wonderful two hour ride with Eduardo - he was very educational about the area and Portugal in general and adapted to our novice pace. The horses have great temperament and the brown dog shadowed our walk going fishing at one point in the shallows - The view and the beach here is amazing - not high density as some of the south coast seems to be, more rural and quiet. We will definitely be back for a longer stay and include more horseback riding!

Our guide Jago was great! We took the most beautiful path through town then over sand dunes to a beautiful area that overlooked the beach. Jago held my friends horses so I could gallop as they were less experienced riders. It was incredible galloping on the beach and when I turned back I let my horse take the reins for a very fast gallop! A once in a lifetime experience!! Thanks to Jago!!!

Did a sunset horseback ride with my husband for my 49th birthday. It was a bucket list, dream excursion for me and did not disappoint. Absolute highlight of our two week trip to Portugal. Amazing!!!! I can’t say enough good things- truly! Thank you for the best birthday outing ever!
