Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Galleria Borghese, Piazzale del Museo Borghese 5, 00197 Rome Italy

Cardinal Scipione Borghese commissioned both the Villa Borghese itself and many of the great works still on display in its gallery. Works by Bernini, Caravaggio and Titian remain in their original settings, as envisioned by the Cardinal, a fiercely determined collector.

Strictly controlled entry to the Villa and Gallery can make booking difficult and complicated. This package lets you avoid the organizing and even skip the line to get in when you arrive.

On this fully-guided tour you’ll hear more about Cardinal Borghese’s quest to complete his collection, and the stories behind the artworks themselves, including Bernini’s ‘Apollo and Daphne’, Canova’s ‘Pauline Bonaparte’, Caravaggio’s ‘St. Jerome’ and Raphael’s ‘The Deposition’. Your guide will be an English-speaker and an expert on the collection, and audio headsets ensure you’ll hear every word they say.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Villa Borghese Gardens, Piazzale Napoleone I, 00197 Rome Italy

Included in this tour is a visit to the Borghese Gardens: once the Cardinal’s private park, now a favorite spot for locals to relax among sculptures, plants and water features and get away from it all.

Esmanuelda (sp?) was a great tour guide with a wealth of historical knowledge. Her presentation of the contrast in Michaelangelo's David and Bernini's was intriguing, memorable, and entertaining. Highly recommend her.

We totally enjoyed the tour and our guide is awesome! She’s a Latvia girl and has lived in Russia and Italy. You can tell she loves her job and is always friendly and patience with her group members. Wonder experience!

We came for Caravaggio and stayed for Bernini. Our tour guide was fantastic! Lisa was passionate and engaging. If I had her as an art history teacher in college I wouldn’t have fallen asleep as much as I did.

Our tour guide was Ms Emanuela and she was the best tour guide we had in Rome. She spoke elequently about all the art treasures in Villa Borgese with vast knowledge of the subjects as well as the history of the palace itself. She spoke of general Renesance history and historical figures with ease and with perfect English prenaunciation. She didn't rush and gave us all the time we wanted to take photos or ask questions. I can only recommend this tour.

The tour guide did an excellent job and the art works we saw were wonderful. Unfortunately, at the time we visited the second floor was closed which meant that there were a lot of things we didn't get to see and that it was very crowded since the same number of people were admitted. Visitors should also be aware that the admission is for 2 hours only.
