Stop At: Ghosts & Gravestones Tour Boston, Boston, MA

Step aboard the trolley of the doomed and join your host, a 17th-century grave digger, cursed with a sentence of eternal damnation. This wretched creature is doomed to travel the streets of Boston and relay the stories of the unfortunate souls he encountered and the macabre events he had been witness to during his purgatory.

Hear about Boston's most sinister characters - from the Angel of Death to the king of all killers - the Boston Strangler. Learn about all the haunts that call the "Hub" their home. But that's not all! Step inside two of the oldest burying grounds in Boston for a walking tour you will never forget. Learn the significance of much of the imagery found in these 17th century burial grounds and the famous and not so famous (but even more interesting) occupants therein.

Visit Copp's Hill Burying Ground in the North End, nestled atop the tallest point in one of Boston's oldest historic districts. Here you will visit the final resting place of Cotton Mather, a man famous for his "intimate" involvement with the Salem Witch Trials. Then to the Granary Burying Ground where you will visit the final resting places of many of the famous heroes of the American Revolution including John Hancock, Paul Revere and Samuel Adams.

Remember that half of the tour is walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended (so you don't become "dead" on your feet)!

This tour was so fun and interesting! It's the perfect blend of history and safe adventuring. I was in town on business and decided to check it out. The trolly was such a plus because it kept the walking to a minimum. The guides were so animated and full of life despite the topic of death and hauntings :) I'd love to go again if they offer another option for different routes/destinations around the city as to cover a new area.

This was a great tour & we loved every moment of it. I do recommend you add to your description that there is a lot of walking & some of it strenuous. All your copy said was wear comfortable shoes. The incline we had to walk at one point was too much for some other attendees. If you're more up front with the level of walking involved, it would be more enjoyable with no surprises.

Evelyn/Evil was amazing. She has such a great personality and really into her character. She was great with the history and at the beginning she made sure to talk to everyone and took time with them all. By far the best Ghosts and Gravestones tour we've done!

Really wonderfully experience. Late night times give a little more to the experience, throw in the cool night and slight wind, excellent. Highly recommend, Merry was an excellent guide.

There were way too many people on this trip. We were crammed into two large buses (not the cute little trolleys in the picture). We spent half the time getting everyone off and back on the buses. Basically we drove in circles while the guide told stories (not all of them ghost stories), and then we stopped at two different cemeteries. There was no linking of the route we were driving with a ghost story.
