Itinerary
Each Boston Whale Watching Cruise is narrated and guided by a naturalist from the noted Whale Center of New England (WCNE). The WCNE has been studying the whales of New England for more than 20 years and its members are recognized worldwide as authorities on whales.
One of the whales you're likely to spot during a Boston Whale Watching Cruise is the humpback. These Northern hemisphere humpbacks reach an average length of 50 feet, and a weight of about 37 tons! Sadly, they're also among the most endangered, and its estimated that only 8 percent of their original population remains.
With the data collected on each cruise, WCNE is able to further the understanding of whales and their world. And, their presence on board ensures that your whale watch will be an exciting and educational trip.
Whale sightings on every whale watch. If you do not see a whale on your trip, you will receive a free ticket for a future Boston Whale Watching Cruise.
The catamarans feature 3 outside decks for optimum viewing capability. Inside you will find climate controlled cabin space with cushioned seating, tables, state-of-the-art audio-visual, and a galley offering snacks and beverages for purchase.

Very disappointed, horrible, weather pouring rain & very windy. Original description said be prepared for cancelation in bad weather & would get refund. Instead they suggested we "reschedule for another day" - can't do when from out of town - but they did not cancel so they did not have to give refunds.

We saw so many whales and recommended this to friends of ours who also enjoyed it! Wonderful narrating from those that worked at the aquarium too. Would definitely go again!

We LOVED every bit of this cruise! We saw over 20 whales. They were popping up everywhere! Make sure to sit on the bottom deck if you are prone to seasickness, but otherwise the ride is smooth and lots of snacks available onboard as well. It was magic - my mom and family loved it so much!

Beautiful scenery. We were able to see five humpback whales and a dozen, or so, harbor porpoises. Four of the humpback whales were particularly active and playful. This made for a wonderful experience. Guides offer a narrated tour and answer questions. In order to hear best, I would recommend the lower deck. For the best viewing, I would recommend the upper deck. Bring a jacket, even in warm weather. Overall, we had a great time and I plan to do this again.

Quick and easy ordering tickets on Viator website with great prices. Easy to find pickup area in Boston by the Aquarium. Boat was warm inside and the tour operators (Colin) were knowledgeable regarding history and where the whales are located. We did spot several whale spouts but only the tips of their heads and fins. It could possible have been the tail when it went into the water. Overall trip was worth it and we are glad we went.
