Barva is the second canton in the province of Heredia in Costa Rica. The canton covers an area of 53.80 km², it is located in 10.020737°N 84.124116°W and has a population of 34,584. The capital city of the canton is also called Barva. The city of Barva brings together many traditions of Costa Rica, including masquerades and traditional music. Many of its houses were built with traditional techniques such as adove.

Britts has the best coffees, shopping and entertainment. This was my 3rd time to tour the "plantation." Very educational, coffee tasting sublime, and tour was historical, amusing, and never boring, I recommend their products and I often order online from Miami.

This tour was excellent and well worth the time! Such a quanit little coffee plantation and factory. The tour was well organized, informative and entertaining! Additionally, the coffee samples were great as well! Definitely do this when in San Jose! It only takes a couple of hours and you will definitely enjoy it!

We went on this tour as part of a larger tour of CR. The included buffet lunch was very tasty and they were very strict with COVID measures. The tour included a short video and coffee tasting demonstration. The tour guide was very informative and funny. We also walked though a portion of the coffee plants to see the forest like set-up in which they are grown. It was pouring rain but we were still able to get all parts of the tour in. Lots of coffee to purchase at the gift shop and they will ship coffee and chocolate purchases over $30 at no charge.

Our tour guide spoke fluent English and we really enjoyed our tour. We learned about the coffee bean growing process and then roasting and tasting the final product. Enjoyed lunch there and shopping for coffee and chocolate to bring home.
